Small beebutt buns overnight will make hair curly. I made one big one on top of my head last night and got beautiful waves with curly ends this morning. Too bad I worked out, sweated, rinsed, and ruined it.

There's a very cool feature of search (http://forums.longhaircommunity.com/search.php) that allows you to find all the information you want on how to achieve curls without heat styling. Try it!

I've heard about a straw method, where you wrap small sections around a drinking straw and secure with a bobby pin in the end so i think I'm going to give that a try. I tested a small damp piece of hair for maybe under a minute and decided to take it out because I was going to do it another day and there was already a spiral left in my hair which is shocking because I have straight fine hair that usually never curls let alone in a minute. As spidermom said small bee butt buns are also good for nice curls.

Rag curls or paper bag curls are a good help for those with any kind of hair curly, straight or whatever to have more defined curls. Here you have a few links:

Sock bun never worked to get better curls for me.
