Hi everyone!

I'm due for an anniversary thread, but I'm not going to do one just yet. I've realized that I never got around to doing an official hair-typing, so 1b/1c was my best guess after I discovered that my hair is in fact not 1a stick-straight. I was so happy that my hair has some sort of wave to it. Please enlighten me with your hair-typing prowess, LHC.

My doesn't get what I'd call "wavy," but it doesn't look quite straight either because I get loose or stretched-out S-patterns in my hair. I don't know if you can see them in the photos I'm posting, but I can. The pictures weren't taken in the best of light and my hair looks straighter than normal IMHO. Also, my hair is somewhat less wavy with henna. Before henna, I got what DBF would call my "mini-waves." My hair holds curl pretty well as long as it is completely dry (otherwise it will stretch out over the day), especially braid waves. I also get more distinct S-shapes that kinda spiral when my hair is soaking wet and they stretch out as they dry. I don't have pictures of those, but if anyone would like to see, I can take pictures on my next wash day.

So here's my hair freshly-washed and with little (I flipped my head over to take a picture of my ends) manipulation and no product.

Uncombed: No color.

Uncombed Ends: Up-close (sorry for the bad picture)

The S-pattern that shows up throughout my hair when uncombed. That's the best shot I could get with a camera phone.

So what's the verdict? I feel like a really weird hybrid of straight and wavy...

Thanks a bunch, everyone! :flower:

PS: Am I at waist? I think one of my mini-goals managed to sneak up on me!

I think you are a 1b....because 1a is stick straight and your hair is not stick straight but I think it's pretty straight.

Your hair looks 1b (and very pretty) to me. I can't really tell the length due to the angle; it might be easier to see if the camera were level with your back.

I'll have to ask DBF to take some more level pics for my anniversary thread. I don't think it helps that he's a foot taller than me, ha ha.

I agree with 1b. The wave is similar to my hair (when I haven't braided it).

1b, M - It is straight but not stick straight - it has a little body to it. Pretty hair.

I also agree with 1b -- and very lovely! And I also cannot tell your length because of the angle of the camera.

Yep, I'd say 1b. I would have said 1a, but pic 3&4 show a bit of body to it, so: 1b.

So it is 1b. :D Thanks everyone!

I think the henna took out some of my mini-waves and I'm going to try to bring it back with amla next time I do a treatment. I am happy I am a 1b.

I honestly can't tell if my strands are F or M. I've just decided to leave it at M for now until I decide otherwise. I wish there was an easier way to determine strand type because I feel so confused.
