Yay, some new styles!

Having seen some awesome lazy wrap buns done with scarves (http://forums.longhaircommunity.com/showthread.php?t=53589), I tried a couple of others to see if it would work.

Firstly, a scarf-wrapped chinese bun, v comfy!

Then, a scarf-wrapped cinnibun, again this felt very steady.

And finally, this 'cheats' bun that I got from this article (http://forums.longhaircommunity.com/vbjournal.php?do=article&articleid=138) - a way to wear my hairtoys (other than ficcares and a sock bun!!)

ETA: what is up with my changing haircolour in this last one? Must be the flash....

The scarf buns are great! They'd also work to protect your ends from the sun!

Aww, thank you! :) Which is a relief as I'm heading off in a few weeks for a trip somewhere that is likely to be quite hot :D

ETA this is the first time I've felt I've done an up-do worth posting for a while!

Nice :flowers:. My hair is below waist & fine. This idea will protect & ?? "thicken" ?? my hair. Just gonna have to try to remember it this fall and winter.

Thanx - Khan

Hmmm, I don't have hair anywhere near that long! So I'm not sure about how protecting it will be. I find if I use a pure silk scarf, I don't get any issues, and it does keep my (much, much shorter!) hair smooth. It certainly does have a 'thickening' effect on any bun I try to make!
