I came across this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=crQtB285riU and decided to try it. The girl calls the video "How I scrunch my hair," but I wouldn't really call it scrunching, as it gives actual curls...

Here's what it looked like when I did it:

Here's the results it gave me:

I really really like the results. :) It was easy to sleep in, and relatively quick to do. Now I did do it on soaking wet hair, instead of just damp hair as instructed, so it was still damp when I took the twists out this morning. I scrunched with a tiny bit of FSG and diffused until mostly dry. Next time I will do the twisting on just barely damp hair and see what it does. This one's a keeper! :D

I made little buns behind my ears with the leftover hair (mine is APL), and if you tried this with longer hair you might not be able to comfortably sleep with the buns behind your ears. But I think you might be able to twist the leftover hair and sort of cross it back and forth behind your head, or maybe do a rope braid in back.

Very pretty. It looks like a style while up. Bet it'd look pretty with some colorful clips.

I love the results it seems to get, I'm waiting for my hair to get damp them I'm doing it! I'm gonna try it in four sections because I have so much.

looks great and I like it up as much as down. I checked out some of her other videos and showed them to my 11 year old (up and coming fashionista). Some great ideas there.

I would love to see other people's results, please post pictures! My second day twisted curls still look pretty good, even though I didn't pineapple or anything so its a little frizzy. But I definitely think this will be my favorite curling method. :)

Ok - so it turned out kinda like a frizzy mess...

But i still like it!

Lots of finger combing later im reasonably happy as i have TONS of texture and volume.

I think i need to twist less tightly to void the frizz...

This is the best i could do picture wise.

It looks good! You might try spraying the final twists with whatever is in your mister if you have one, or putting a tiny bit of leave in in your hands and kind of smoothing that over the twists. I have a mister bottle with rosewater, aloe vera gel, and some of my CO wash conditioner (Suave coconut), and I sprayed that lightly on my hair after I twisted it. That might help cut down on the frizz.
