God I love Tori. Makes me feel a bit bad that she wore wigs during the only concert I saw her in.

Honestly, it's other LHC members. I tend to distrust images of celebrities, who have hair stylists and a lot of financial backing to keep their hair photogenic.

I also have to say LHC members. I'm not too good at guessing what celebs and models have extensions (for awhile I thought maybe Miley Cyrus's hair was real till I read here she also has extensions :o) so I'll just assume all celebs have extensions for now on.

So, I like to keep my dream hair somewhat realistic. squiggyflop and LittleOrca have beautiful hair and I <3 Rach's hair color. :)

Hee, I like Cate Blanchett's brown hair and Lea Seydoux' brown-blonde hair the best, because they're the closest to my color...so I have some idea what my hair will look like when it grows out really long!
Lea's hair especially amazed me...I remember when I first saw it all down, the first thing I thought was "This is a long hair movie!!! YAY!!!"

I love Liv Tylers hair but I also have to second or third that it is really other LHC members hair whom I adore.

I love Spidermoms hair and I believe her name is Angeletti. Sorry if I mispelled her name but I love her long dark locks and awesome hair styles.

Everyone on here growing their hair inspires me because I know it's real and acheivable!

I prefer the collective hair at LHC. Longlocks3 is one of my favorites, as well as cinnamon hair and torrin. There are a whole bunch here but these are off the top of my head. I have probably drooled over every members hair at some point.

To echo most of the sentament in this thread, I have to agree, the people on this site have the most amazing hair I've ever seen.

Being a man, I have two answers:
- Ideal hair on a women - Indigo Girl (http://forums.longhaircommunity.com/member.php?u=4577) (a few clicks up) is a FINE example for me - the length, the color, the cut - 'da bomb!
- Ideal hair ON me - I think again, it would be LHC community member Witchy (http://forums.longhaircommunity.com/member.php?u=23447)- length, health, color but mostly length and health.

I spend a reasonable amount of time around celebrities and actors in general and I'll tell you what most of you already know; none of it's as real as what's on this site. Seriously - NONE of it.

Millions and millions of human beings who walk this earth have beautiful hair... in my opinion this is one of them: model Natalia Vodlianova

Why? because of the softness, and the length... the gorgeous waves ( heat manipulation or not, doesnt matter) the color... I'm a happy woman if i have that hair!:)

and... then of course in her case is the whole package, isn't it.... hair, face, body and hopefully mind and heart too.

It's funny,I used to admire celebrity hair and now after being on here all I can see is extensions and damage. I just wonder what their hair looks like when you take away the stylists and products. I KNOW most models hair is completely damaged since they go from show to show and shoot to shoot getting their hair teased, curled, straightend, sprayed and product to death.

It is a strange thing to observe...There is definitely a recurring "type" of hair ideal on this forum shared by many posters here! I see lots of red or blond fantasy-related hair and I'm not sure if those genres are the only places we can see women with very long hair!

This is my hair idol:
This is Namie Amuro, a pop star in Japan. She's been famous since the 90s and was always known for her loonnnng gorgeous brown hair. I think she's the new Vidal Sassoon spokesmodel in Japan too now.

I still hold to the fact that it is the LHC members I find most inspirational, but I've thought about this thread more, and if I had to pick a celebrity, it would be Eva Green - like me she is a blonde who dyes her hair dark (or flame red!) and whilst it is not the longest hair out there, I love the drama of it!

I ran into DS1's classmate's mom yesterday and she has great hair. It's about apl but it's not one long length. It's layered with the shortest layer being maybe 4 inches from her crown and layered down from there. I don't know how they got it that short at the top and still kept the length but I got the number of her stylist. She has beautiful hair. (secretly wonders if she has extensions)

Then today, I'm looking through youtube, and see this guy (an old favorite) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wvkzoqQ5Oak and think of this thread. The lead singer would is my hair inspiration for reversing my plan (again) to cut....

A million years ago, my dream hair was long, blonde, thick and wurly. I still adore that type of hair...but now I know *my* dream hair is...mine. :p I know that sounds cliche but it's true. There is SO much to love about my hair as it is. I color it with henna and indigo to love it more.

As far as inspiration, I agree that LHC itself is my inspiration. Here is where I see how people actually do grow, and live with and work with, long hair. It's not temporary, it's the real deal.

For me, it is the folks on here too - Lady Long Locks, Nightshade, and Cinnamonhair all spring to mind....as well as Gallows Gallery for the stunning black shade :D

Same here. I cant think of any celebrities that come close to LHC ladies. I check out Cinnamonhair's site when I need encouragement because her type is similar to mine. Do you remember when Jane Seymour had the best hair ever?

My hair inspiration is pretty much people here on LHC, but my DREAM hair is hair like Tacy's from the Betsy Tacy books, except much longer.

I love the hair on Indian women and in Hindi films. So thick and so long and luxurious. The wavy ones are my favorites.

My dream hair isn't from a certain person. I dream of dark brown, almost black 3a hair that is at least classic length and extremely thick when braided. I'd also want it all one length. :cheese: Maybe one day.....

A painted statue of an Egyptian woman from early 14 century BC with amazing locks. I saw her the first time when I was about four years old.

Islandgirl, Nightshade, Squiggyflop, tcheney91, Restourceful.

And I loved Luna Lovegood's hair in the films and Brooke Sheilds in Blue Lagoon.

Oh, and I've loved Tori Amos and her hair since 1991!

*blushes furiously* Thanks, Toadstool! :flowers: I've never been someone's dream-hair-girl before. What an honor!

Mine are our own Silverlocks, Surprising Woman, Othala, and Honest Witness, all lovely silvers!
