Team Victoria Hair / It Kinda Worked

"Team Victoria!" is what my fiancé shouted when I showed him my results and wanted him to take my picture.

Last night I thought I would give Torrin's tutorial (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R0NMLSUICp4) on working with waves a try. My hair is naturally wavy (http://forums.longhaircommunity.com/picture.php?albumid=2521&pictureid=75239), but I wanted something a little more fun, especially for the ends of my hair that have been driving me crazy.

I didn't do the braids like Torrin while my hair was damp, so that kept the waves from being as deep as they could be, but I did pretty much follow the rest of her tutorial and here were my results:

I used six braids and then had curlers at the ends of each braid like in the tutorial.

Not as curly, but I only did two braids. It sure looks like Victoria! Thanks for the inspiration! Your hair is stunning. Shiny and soft looking.

I tried this last night with 2 braids, but my ends are a little fuzzy. I didn't have any perm papers (like in the video), so I didn't bother. I'm reasonably happy with the result, but I need to practice more, and find a way to get the curls at the end to be a little bigger and looser. They are a bit tight right now. No photos yet, but more experiments. It's a great technique though!

Your curls really turned out beautifully. I always have to braid wet to encourage the little bit of natural wave I have, but I see you were able to skip that bit. LOL. As always, I am jealous of your mermaid hair and it's tendency to actually like it's waves and cooperate. :)
