How often do you wash your hair?

Hi, just wondering about different people with different lengths/types of hair. How often do you wash it and how long is it? Im new on here so could people please explain to me what the different lengths of hair mean like APL and things. Thank you!!! xxx

Every time after I swim, otherwise once or twice a week. My hair is dry; I think that's the reason it doesn't like to be washed frequently.

Since I joined this site, I use shampoo only on my scalp. I CO wash the rest, unless it's after swim and I have to shampoo the length.

Mine is nearly classic length. I wash every other day in the summer and every three days in the winter. I usually run an hour or so a day, so when I have to take a week or two off running (my shins have been killing me lately) I can sometimes go a day longer.

I wash my bangs everyday in the sink, and I wash my whole head every other day, alternating between CO and CWC.

I am at shoulder and I wash or conditioner only every two-three days. Lately I have been using conditioner only to cut down on my frizzies so I haven't really shampooed for nearly two and a half weeks now. (Don't worry conditioner does a wonderful job cleaning lol!)

Lengths:
APL= Arm pit length. Your hair ends right at your armpits.
BSL= Bra strap length. The ends of your hair are right where your bra strap sits.
Waist= Hair falls at the smallest part of your waist.
Hips= Hair ends at the top of your hip bones.
TB= Tailbone. Hair reaches the end of your tailbone.
Classic= Where your butt joins your legs.

I'm at shoulder length and I shampoo twice a week i.e., every 3 or 4 days. I like washing my hair but its also a bit of a chore. It takes ages to dry- three hours or so (bleached hair soaks up the water). And like I said its only shoulder length!

Classic Length......I shampoo with a deep cleanser. I'm not too picky about the shampoos, they can be either expensive or cheap, I try them all. But I am very particular about my conditioner. My favorite is still Mane and Tail, The Original only. The other mane and tail brands don't work for me. I shampoo and condition when I have to go out shopping etc, maybe 3 or 4 times a week.

I wash my hair when I feel it needs it. Sometimes that can be twice in two days or there can be days between washings. In the winter I tend to wash less, but shower more (put my hair in a cap to keep it dry) just so I can warm up. :)

My hair is BCL right now, which is butt-crack length. Some call this length tailbone, and some call tailbone a few inches lower than BCL, so I decided to compromist and wait to claim tailbone until I've gained a few more inches. Although I may be wrong :shrug: who knows :)

I'm only mbl but I wash often, 2-4x weekly with either shampoo or conditioner. I know of people who wait 2-3 weeks. Since my hair is very curly/kinky, I'd like to wait that long to retain the natural iokl but how do you get the sour smell from your scalp? Is Sea Breeze good to do? I also use ayurveda and that's a tough smell in the hair. What would anyone suggest?

Also, for those who wash only a few times per week, do you wet daily or only when you wash????
