Hi, everyone!

I'm a newbie here, so forgive me if there are already 100 threads on this. Lately, I've been itching to buy a flower clip or a headband; I see tons when I'm at the store, or perusing Etsy and other online stores. I've just finished school, so money is exceedingly tight at the moment, and I really can't justify paying the prices (usually $20+) I've seen for something I won't wear everyday. I figure, DIYing has to be cheaper. On that note, I'd love to see what you ladies have come up with for a little inspiration. :o

Well, here's what I have. I used some flowers that were languishing in a closet, some hot glue, a package of 3$ plastic headbands from walmart, a 1.47$ package of combs from hobby lobby, 5 bobby pins (from a 1.99 a pack of 24 at hobby lobby), a few rhinestones and two packages of feather decorations from Joannes at 3$ a piece.

I know that hobby lobby carries metal headbands in some places that are about 3$ a set of five if you want the thin metal look.

I always use my twillies as headbands, using the excess at the ends to make what I call piggy's twilly fleurette!

Another variation is to make a larger flower like the one below by anchoring the twilly (or similarly shaped narrow neck scarf) on a plain headband. It's actually anchored to the turnlock of one of my handbags in this photo, but you get the idea (^(oo)^)
