Progress Update 07/2010 (pic heavy)

Hi guys! I know it's been a while, but at least I have good news. I've had some serious problems with shedding and taper over the past couple of years due to various factors, but I've gotten things back under control and my hair has shown significant improvement. Here's a recap:

May 2009

As you can see, my hair started fairytaling at APL and became very thin past waist. I was experiencing heavy shedding and considered cutting to waist, but decided to try and wait it out. I was at 36" here.

August 2009

In August of last year, I hadn't shown enough improvement in the ends to satisfy me, so I cut back to 31".

This is my hair today, finally back at 36" and solidly at TBL. :cheese:
It took getting my blood sugar back into control, increasing my water intake, almost cutting caffeine out completely, and getting more active, but it was worth it. I hope that things continue to improve, of course, but my ends haven't looked this thick in YEARS. Just goes to show how your lifestyle affects your hair!

WOW! I admit that I LOVE your hair in the first picture. It's really pretty, but that is a really great improvement in the last year as well! Your hair looks SO thick now. It's gorgeous, be proud! I can't wait to get to this length. It's my goal. Eeee! :)

A real success story - and as a diabetic for 40 years myself I wish you every success with the blood sugars! Caffeine can affect sugar levels - I gave up coffee completely about ten years ago.
