Tangle Disaster

So, I went swimming today. The water was wonderful and I had a great time. The thing is, a tendril of hair escaped from my braid and was swirling around in the water. It tied itself into such a knot, it was like something a boy scout would do! I worked and worked to get it out. I tried every slippery product I had: oil, conditioner, frizz cream, Vaseline. It was all to no avail. I had to cut it out. I cut about 3 inches off the end of the piece so now I have one piece that's about APL and the rest is midback. Arrgh! I guess that will teach me to braid more tightly, huh? :o

Oh no! Well, at least you had a great time, but what a pain.

I remember once (pre-LHC) I went swimming and my hair turned into a solid mass of tangles. I tried combing it out...gave up...it took days to get it all untangled and caused so much damage.

sorry ;( I always feel bad when the only option is to cut out the knot. maybe a bun would be better for swimming?
