Updos for heavy and slippery hair?

I wear my tailbone length hair down all the time, and my ends are beginning to tell me "all the time" is too much. But you see, I have a bit of a problem putting my hair up. The combination if very heavy(/thick) and very slippery makes it difficult to put it up and keep it there. I've tried many different buns and braids, and nothing seems to work right. It all slips and falls out!

I'd like something is relatively quick, would hold, and be something I could do myself. Any ideas? : )

I have the same problem. Before LHC my hair was very demaged and it wasn't slippery at all. Now as it's getting healthier it's getting more and more slippery. The Hypno bun is the most secure I've found and it's not very difficult. :)
