newbie w/ hair/ health issues

hi! i joined because after a lifetime of great, easy fast growing and thick hair midlife and hypothyroidism and anemia have done a number on my hair. didn't know what i had til it was gone!!

my hair is now shoulder length, but thinner than ever, and texture has changed. trying not to be too discouraged, but it's hard. biotin and msm are helping, but i still feel sad and miss my old hair.

hoping to find tips here to help. is there a forum or thread for people dealing with similar issues?

I know for myself that my hair (and skin and nails) improved dramatically once I was on the right dose of synthroid.

I had uncorrected hypothyroidism for a while, and my hair fell out in bunches. What was left was dry and yucky :( The good news is that when I got it corrected, my hair bounced back and started growing well again. It took a pretty long time for it to grow out, though :(
