I retook my one year pictures but I dont know if I will ever be able to get my may picture back but I have a fair shot of june so here we go I will blather after the pictures.

It all began with a cute a line

I got that cute thing trimmed and ended up with a layer that was about an inch long. So I cut it all into this

Grew a mullet and trimmed it off in December

Now the rest is growing it out

There they are my one year photos I've gotten two trims to even and I think I will go in soon again. maybe. Probably not. Is it too early to start worrying about losing length?

This a repost from my blog yesterday. I actually had to retake my one year pictures because my brand new bought in February laptop has hard drive issues.

So there you go I only have 23 more inches which means about 2-4 years depending on growth rate, stalls and trims and now some cheese.

Oh, your hair is so shiny! What kind of shampoo and conditioner do you use? It gives me a nice idea of where mine will be in a year - except I have many layers that have to grow out on top of it all. I love seeing the growth fotos though!!!

Is it too early to start worrying about losing length?

I dont think it is. I remember getting my a-line bob this time last year and i was getting regular trims and am now an inch past shoulder. My ends are healthy (but not the ridiculous layers i had cut in!) and i'm glad i had reg trims while it was still short because now i am managing to space the trims out more and go longer without them but still maintain a thick-ish hemline.

I think if i'd let it just grow it would have been a bit longer, but the hemline would have been thin and more like a fairytail hemline (is that the name?) which i think makes my hair look unhealthy (although it isnt).

Since you have lovely thick hair, i would get a trim (mini trim maybe 0.5cm off or less) about every 9-10 weeks, or do a dusting about that time just to maintain the thick hemline because i think your hair is going to look so shiny and thick (an healthy) when its long!

But that my opinion, if your happy just growing with no trims, thats fine for your hair too and wont stunt the growth.

Happy growing!

It looks fabulous - here's some more cheese for ya :cheese:

I don't think it's ever too early to worry about losing length. I'm right about the same place as you are, growth wise, and I'm doing my darndest to avoid losing even the littlest bit. My short term goal is to be able to get it all into a pony tail with no barrettes or clips holding the sides. So my vote is to gut it out and enjoy the more rapid summer growth rate, and it'll be longer, faster, before you know it :)
