30/06/2010 was the third anniversary since I started growing my hair at end of June 2007.

I'd love to know what everyone thinks.

If you're wondering the two+/tone thing I have going on right now... about a year and a half ago I had a phase with henna and indigo mixes :P. The 6 inches of roots are my natural colour.

I'm aiming for classic length. In about a month I'll get an inch trimmed off the ends (by a trusted friend!) as they're quite badly damaged (split, dry, chemically dyed) and as a consequence don't look so good.

Haha wow thanks everyone!

I for some reason thought that I'll reach classic at about 10 years - i.e. in 2017. However when pulled straight it's already mid-back (BSL in a girl's case) and since I've started growing it I must have got about 5 inches chopped off total...

Maybe I'll get there by 2015, or if my hair decides to accelerate, then by the end of the world! hahaha I'm just joking...

If any curly haired people would like tips to grow their hair, the best thing I can recommend is patience. Oh and put your hair up for months & forget about it... and do treatments every 3 weeks or so. That's what I do anyroad. And I comb it in the shower after soaking it in warm water and leaving in conditioner for a few minutes, about twice a week. And final rinses ALWAYS with cold water! Even in the middle of winter. Well... Mediterranean winter. Yes, it's difficult to get used to but it is worth it :)

Wow, that's a lot of curly hair. I actually really like your henna color and length in your two year picture. Your natural color is nice, though, from what little there is of it in your first picture. When you get the two-tonedness grown out it will be perfect. Very nice, by the way. You're obviously taking very good care of your hair. Your curls look well cared-for.

ETA (off topic): I don't know anyone from Malta, so I took a moment now to look up pictures of what I'm assuming is your country and language clips. The country itself looks stunningly beautiful and the language is so interesting. It sounds to my ear like a cross between Italian and Arabic. Very beautiful on both counts. You're a lucky guy to be living there.

when pulled straight or wet it reaches mid-back which is the same as BSL I believe :)

If only you knew how much money I wasted when I was younger to get curls like yours!! (Never worked, of course. My hair doesn't like perms, though that never stopped me trying)
