View Full Version : What's in your shower?

I've seen a number of posters here commenting on how many different products they have in their shower and bathroom, which frankly just baffles me. I have a pretty small over-the-showerhead rack thing which fits just about everything I ever use. So I'm wondering: what do you happen to have in there? do you take up an absolute minimum of space, or do you use every free ledge in sight and then some? are all of the products yours, or do you share with someone else?

As for myself, I have:

A bottle of V05 Strawberries & Cream Conditioner - for CO-washing
A bottle of Suave Naturals Rosemary Mint shampoo - It's not SLS-free, but it smells good and I only use it when I absolutely have to
A bottle of ACV rinse - and this may be taken out, I'm giving it another week or two to be certain, but I think I do better without it
A tub of coconut oil - because it makes my hair soft and shiny and mmmmm
A tub of Garnier Fructis deep conditioning treatment - it's 'coney, and I use it for special occasions when I need my hair to pretend to play nice for a little while
A bottle of Suave Naturals exfoliating apricot body wash that I got because of my peeling sunburn, and continue to use because it smells so darn good
Three bars of soap - one which is mint-scented and basically disintegrated which I should really throw out but I'm a bit of a pack-rat, one is a face soap, and one is a bar of heavy-duty scent-killing soap because I run and sweat a lot
A razor, because I'm female and society says I should shave my legs and underarms, at least during the summer when other people can see them, and I'm not quite rebellious enough to forgo doing that
A poof thing to wash with
A ponytail holder that really shouldn't be there.
Outside the shower, I have a bottle of Aveda Brilliant hairspray for special occasions, a bottle of hand soap, and another bar of face soap. Plus two extra bottles of the same conditioner because I don't go shopping very often.

Though of course, when I think about it, it's both less and more than I used to have. I cleaned out all my old 'coney conditioners and gave them to my sister to share with her swimming friends. Most of them were never opened, but because my mom shopped at Sam's Club, I had used up the shampoos that they had been attached to. I definitely have more different products in the shower now, but less outside it (no more gel, less hairspray, no 'shine serums' and the like, etc.). But on the other hand, most of the time when I'm washing, I only use two products- the conditioner, and soap for the rest of me. If it's right before I go to bed, I'll wash my face in the shower as well.

To me, what I have feels like a lot. The rack in my shower is basically full, but I do know that every one of those items serves a purpose. But compared to some people, the 'product-junkies', I know that I haven't got much at all. Not that it's a bad thing to have a lot of different products, I'm just very much a fan of keeping things as simple as possible. If you were to remove all of the musical instruments, between my room and bathroom at home, I would have four pieces of furniture. Simple, to me, is very good.

But that's not the case for everyone.

So share your 'collection', so to speak, with the world.

I literally have a collection of my own hair on the side of the shower.

Hah, I get that sometimes, too, but I try to keep it clean. I'm just glad that my drain has a little net-like covering thing, so I get clogs every time I shower, but it's easy enough to just grab the collected hairs and watch it all drain away just fine. Plus, my bathroom gets rather dark because the lighting is just old and inadequate, and if I'm not careful, the little clumps of hair look like cockroaches and I'll freak out a bit when I see them.

Okay, more than a bit.

And I technically share a bathroom with my sister, but the only thing she does in there is use the facilities and brush her teeth. She showers after swim practice over at the natatorium, so I don't think she's actually showered at home in a couple of years, and she's not quite old enough to start flooding the place with makeup yet, for which I'm thankful.

Well, in my shower, product-wise, I have:

Suave Naturals Coconut Shampoo and Conditioner (one bottle of each.)
VO5 Vanilla Mint Tea Conditioner (one bottle)
Razor
One can of Shaving Cream
One bar of Ivory Soap
A Claw Clip (to hold hair up and out of the way when I CO)

trust me, that is scaled down from what I use to be like. I am trying to simplify my life, in every aspect, including the shower.

Soap, razor, shampoo, conditioner. I may put a cup of ACV and water on the edge of the tub just before I use it. Possibly have a spare bar of soap waiting for the current one to run out, but that's it. I have no room in the shower for anything else.

In the bathroom I have one big bottle of Tresemme Natruals conditioner and one bottle of Herbal Essences Tousle Me Softly shampoo.

Now, in my bedroom... I have a lot more stuff. But, really I only use those two things (and my coconut oil) on a regular basis. They run out, I replace them.

Let's see how well I can do this by memory!
Two LUSH poo bars
Burt's Bees Shampoo
Suave Daily Clairfying Shampoo
Herbal Essence Drama Clean shampoo
Two bottles of VO5 conditioner
Two bottles of Tresemme Naturals Conditioner, one almost gone
Two bottles of Shikai Everyday shampoo
Garnier Fructis Triple Nutrition Conditioner
Two bottles of Pert 2 in one (my dad and brothers)
Soap
Honey
Razor
A plastic container of an olive oil sugar scrub I made

I think that's it :hmm:. I only use the Shikai shampoo and Garnier Fructis conditioner for my hair, I need to clean :p. I often give my boyfriend my extra stuff, so looks like he'll be getting some new stuff soon! He never has to buy hair supplies, hah.

In the shower and on its edge:
*A comb
*Two orange bags tied together as a backstrap
*Two pairs of scissors
*A mirror, to use to read the thermometer when I'm taking a hot bath
*A Microplane which I use on my feet
*Clean laundry
*A rat being collected.
Elsewhere in the bathroom:
*Dirty laundry in the basket
*Cast-iron pot on top of the dirty laundry (I wash it in the shower, unlike my other pot)
*An assortment of EOs, homemade perfumes, and henna attar
*Toothbrushes
*The other comb

Btw, that's "orange bag" like "grapefruit bag", not like "blue bag". They're made of two opposite helices of plastic. I once saw a really long tube of the stuff at a horse show.

Live Clean 'poo & 'dish
Aveen body wash
Cetaphil ultra moisture body/face wash
Razor (it's a men's razor because they are 200% better than women's razors)
Aveda Black Malva
and a body buffer

And my BF's arsenal of course which is all Tea Tree Body Shop

That's what in the shower...what's out of the shower is a whole new thread! I have boxes of hair care products because I'm a self proclaimed product junkie and I refuse to waste to I like to keep a repertoire. :o

My shower is really tiny with no storage space. It contains -
Mine - AO Desert whatsis shampoo
Terax conditioner
Suave Blackberry conditioner
Lush Honey I Washed the Kids soap
MAC Volcanic Ash exfoliator
A rubber face washer thing that I use to slough off a dry patch I have near my eyebrow

Husband's
Some crap faux-ivory soap
Head and Shoulders (which I actually love the smell of)
Nuetrogena Lemon Sugar scrub that he uses on his back

I have a ton of other stuff in my bathroom at my tub, but it's mostly face or deep conditioner stuff

July 12th, 2010, 05:51 PM

In the shower? For use in the shower...

plastic shower cap (for non-hairwashing days)
plastic chopstick hairstick (for use under shower cap, nicely waterproof)
screen thingy for the drain
scrubby brush for nails and feet
washcloth
back brush
shampoo and conditioner (Suave aloe, at the moment)
soap (homemade by a friend, mmmmmmm)
ETA: Big plastic cup for diluting shampoo or conditioner

... and right now I have a bunch of laundry hanging in there drying ...

I like Pierre's idea of the orange bags back scrubber. I think I'll look into something like that, it would be nicer than this old backbrush which is wearing out, coming apart!

In the shower:
-- bottle of Pantene shampoo (can't remember which kind...moisturizing or "ice shine" or something like that)
-- bottle of Pantene conditioner
-- bottle of Garnier shampoo for long hair ("Length & Strength")
-- bottle of Garnier conditioner (ditto)
-- shaving cream
-- razor
-- bar of Ivory soap (loooove how that stuff smells! :crush:)
-- Jibere shower comb
-- shower cap

I try to keep it uncluttered. Now, underneath my sink it's a different story. I have at least half a dozen different types of shampoo/conditioner combos that I bought and didn't like. (Most of them Suave, so I didn't waste too much money...:o)

Ooh, let's see...

A bottle of ACV
L'Oreal Mega Moisture conditioner
Sally Beauty GVP imitation Biolage Hydrating Balm (is that what it's called?)
A sample bottle of Herbal Essences Hydralicious Shampoo
A full size bottle of Herbal Essences Hydralicious conditioner
Schick Quattro Razor
Skintimate Cream Shave (not the foamy stuff... the creamy stuff in the upside-down bottle)
A scrubbing towel thingie (I've got a mental hang-up about shower poufs... this thing dries fully, quickly, and therefore, is cleaner in my mind)
A bar of Dove soap
A bar of Chagrin Valley Oatmeal Spice soap
A tiny sliver of LUSH Lemslip soap
Head and Shoulders shampoo
Pert 3-in-1 for men
An empty sports bottle for ACV rinsing or shampoo diluting
An empty conditioner bottle for the same purpose (don't know why I've got two)
A bottle of Suave Wild Cherry Blossom conditioner
A bottle of some other Suave conditioner
A bottle of Herbal Essences Degunkify shampoo
Some kind of fancy-schmancy shampoo/conditioner set for thinning hair (the fiance's hair's thinning on top, but he hardly touches the stuff), name of which I can't remember
Some gunk
Some hair stuck to the wall
A hair-catcher thingie over the drain

That's all. Not that much. :o

Ahhh...appropriate time for me to find this thread as I just cleaned my shower today:p

I have:

1 bottle of mixed up shampoo (I emptied the bits and pieces of other bottles into this one)
1 bottle of mixed up conditioner (same story - I'm trying to use up some of my stuff before I buy more)
1 bottle of dove cream oil body wash
1 bar dial hypoallergenic soap
1 bar sandlewood soap
1 bar safeguard soap (DH's)
1 bottle Head and Shoulders shampoo (DH's)
1 bottle TSal shampoo (DH's)
big plastic cup to dilute shampoo
3 razors (crazy, I know!)
back brush
wide toothed plastic comb
claw clip
1 tube generic clearsil type face wash
one of those nubby face scrubbers

I think that's it...beside the shower on the edge of the tub is my bottle of Neutrogena body oil that I added patchouli essential oil to and the cabinets are a WHOLE other story:)

This sounds about right:

-A bottle of suave shampoo, it has a picture of a waterfall on it but I couldn't tell you the 'flavor' off the top of my head.
-An almost empty bottle of herbal essences shampoo... a red one
-A bottle of herbal essences conditioner, I think its hello hydration (a blue one)
-A bottle of tresemme naturals conditioner, the moisturizing one rather than the volumizing one
-A bar of soap (dove?)
-A pumice stone
-One of those sandpapery thingies on a stick for your feet
-A shower poof
-A loofah
-A cheap bic razor
-Some body wash in a pump that someone gave me for xmas or something
-Body wash in a squeezy bottle someone gave me for my birthday
-A tub of noxema
-A tube of St. Ives apricot scrub

ETA:
-An old plastic container that once carried soup but I now use to dilute shampoo in and sometimes for a vinegar rinse.

In the shower
Olive oil soap
shower puff
razors (new and old, if I don't put them in the bin no one does.)
a bodyshop face exfoliator scrubby thing
a wide detangling comb I never use.

Plus a shampoo and conditioner that used to be mine that DH is now using up because I've gone WO and I also use them to clean with a bit of bicarb in the bathroom.

In the bath however
an empty jug - ready for rinses,
a bath pillow,
a bath thermometer
two slightly burnt candles

on the shelf near the bath
oats in a sealed jar
castor sugar in a sealed jar
washing soda
epsom salts
homemade tooth powder and tooth brushes
bottle of oil - various cold pressed
But none of this is for my hair!

Also under the sink lives an empty ceramic bowl, wooden spoon and various shower caps all for Henna.

and Hair clippers - :D not mine!

The shower cap floats about from place to place in the bathroom.

Lets see....I share with my (female) roommate so it does get kind of crowded in there

My stuff-

-Dove cream oil body wash (fantastic stuff)
-shower poof
-Pantene conditioner
-VO5 conditioner (cone free)
-Dove conditioner
-Suave shampoo
-Trader Joe's shampoo (SLS free)
-daily microderm face scrub
-face wash
-razor
-shaving gel
-shaving cream
-in shower body lotion
-body scrub

Roommate's stuff-

-Suave shampoo
-Suave conditioner
-shaving gel
-poof
-face scrub
-body wash
-razor

Pretty much every surface in our shower that can be used is being used. We bought one of those shower organizers on a long poll that goes from the floor to the ceiling and has 4 baskets. I have the top 2, roommate has the bottom 2. Also on one side of our shower is a small shelf area that I have filled. I am lucky in that she does not have a lot of shower stuff and does not mind letting me take up the space (it was our compromise for taking the cheaper, 1.5 bath apt instead of the 2 bath one I wanted).

We manage to keep the shower pretty organized looking but you can always tell if one of us is very tired or we have someone new using the shower. You can here the bottles start to fall.....

Irish Spring Body Wash.
Razor.

That's it! The only reason there's two conditioners is because I bought them as a set, and it doesn't work for me and my boyfriend hates the smell, so it just sort of sits there and collects dust.

I have:
Suave Naturals Wild Cherry Conditioner
Suave Naturals Juicy Apple Conditioner
Mach 3 razor for underarms (I don't shave my legs)

My mom has:
Nature's Gate Grapefruit and Wild Ginger Shampoo
Nature's Gate Lemongrass and Clary Sage Conditioner
Burt's Bees Shea and Grapefruit Deep Conditioner
Callus scraper for her feet
Exfoliating gloves

The family has:
A bar of soap (rub it in a washcloth, not on your body please!!)
Exfoliating washcloth that was mine but I suspect gets shared (eeewwww!!!shudder:)
Scrub brush and poof thingy for washing backs

My dad just uses the soap on his whole body, including his head since what hair he has is 1/4 inch long. So, 6 products and 6 "things" that are used on a regular basis.
This is by no means the entire collection of products since we have an entire cabinet stuffed full of half-empty bottles for the odd guest.:o

- bar of simple soap
- flannel ( new one every time i shower)
- razor

my parents have:
- pantene shampoo
- t gel shampoo

it seems so spartan in comparison, but that's all I need to wash with seeing as i don't put anything in my hair.
it also doesn't help that on the few occasions I HAVE put anything in the shower, it's been immediately removed and left on the floor :(

I also have a poofy thing I use to wash with (that is made of 100% recycled plastic bags... not literally a wad of plastic bags, you know what I mean!)

I'm trying to reduce my stash. In my shower I've got

St. Ives face wash/scrub
Lush Big/Curly Wurly Shampoo (I mixed them together as the former was too clarifying and the latter too conditioning. Together=just right)
Lush Tramp Shower Gel (patchouli mmmm)
Faith in Nature Organic Jojoba conditioner
My dad's shower gel & shampoo

Elsewhere (in cupboard) I've got some honey, ACV and a Boots mud mask.

Lots of stuff that isn't mine, it's my family's....

Lush (I'm a Lush addict, the stuff works so well on me):
Cynthia Sylvia Stout shampoo - I use this and so does my boyfriend, love it because it has no SLS but still makes my hair look nice (SLS and me = horrible painful skin)
Conditioners: Coolaulin (standard), American Cream (moisture and smells yummy), Veganese (strips out the buildup of coconut etc, I use it occasionally)
H'Suan Wen Hua - my hair adores this stuff (it's a treatment) and besides it smells like chai...
My giant lush stash of soap etc - at the moment in my shower is honey I washed the kids, I have sexy peel for washing my feet (they get horrible in summer), sandstone (don't think much of it and am using it up), and vanilla in the mist is on the sink in the bathroom and 13 unlucky for dirt by the kitchen sink.
Dark Angels - wonderful face cleanser

Not to mention all the bath bombs and melts and bubble bars...

Not lush:
St Ives Apricot scrub...yum :) I've got some body shop stuff I use occasionally too.

Pantene Nature Fusions Moisture Balance Conditioner (love it!)
Garnier Triple Nutrition Conditioner
Pantene Curls Shampoo
Ojon Restorative Shampoo (very old and haven't used it in ages)
Suave Humectant Shampoo (mostly my husband's)
Suave Humectant Conditioner (mostly my husband's, but I CO with it sometimes)
Garnier Sleek & Shine Shampoo (I used to wash delicate laundry by hand with it, then my husband started using it. :p )
KMS Clarifying Shampoo (haven't touched it in ages)
Softsoap Shea Butter Body Wash
Peppermint Castille Soap
A foot scrub bar
My and my husband's razors
Nivea Sensitive Skin Shaving Cream
Paula's Choice One Step Facial Cleanser for Normal to Oily/Combination Skin
Avon Shea Butter Body Scrub

Jeez, we have a lot! To my credit though, I'm trying to use up my stash, and I hardly ever shampoo so my old shampoo bottles hang around for a long time lol.

Wow! I don't think my shower would stand up to as much as some of you have. It would probably come crashing down on top of me! I have:
1 bar of Nubian Heritage soap inside a soap saver bag
1 bottle of conditioner for HB (V05 vanilla mint tea)
1 applicator bottle of diluted acv
1 body wash (old aveda calming--need to use up my stash)
1 mirror
2 razors
1 tiny shave secret bottle
1 scrub brush
1 jaw clip and wide tooth comb
Ok, now that I made a list, it looks like a lot more, lol. When it is time for me to wash my hair, I take my S&C in with me and out again, because I only use them once a week. Same for the one day I condition with the V05 strawberry. All extra "stash" stays under the sink until needed.

Okay...sooo....

I just celebrated a year of being Natural. Being that i had to learn what my hair likes and doesn't like...i kinda became a product junkie...but im finding that i know what me and my hair like now and i don't have that need to keep buying the next big thing.

That being said, i have things i need to use up.

In the bathroom(under the sink) i have:

Garnier Fructis Pure Clean Conditioner
Suave Ocean Breeze Shampoo
Shea Moisture Deep Treatment Masque
Embeleeza Novex Chocolate Deep Treatment
Capilo Suela Y Canela
GVP Conditioning Balm
Chagrin Valley Conditioning Shampoo Bar

I don't really have anything in the shower...our house has 1 bathroom and there's 4 of us so...i just keep my shower gel, face wash, shampoo bar, exfoliant and razor in there as well as some clips to section my hair off while detangling, shower comb and shower pouf.

ETA: Need to follow instructions:laugh:

There's a ton of stuff in my family's shower, but only a few things belong to me:

- Organix argan oil shampoo
- Aveeno moisturizing conditioner (which, if I may add, HOLY SCHMOWZOW, THIS STUFF IS WAY MORE AMAZING THAN I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE, AND I END UP NEEDING TO USE LESS OF IT)
- Ulta dragon fruit body wash
- Backup Organix cherry blossom shampoo (technically outside the shower, but still)

Suave Naturals Green Apple Conditioner (fiances)
Razor
Bar of Lush soap
Some neutrogena body wash I don't use but should use up

Castor Oil
Sweet Almond Oil
Avocado Oil
Lavendar EO
Tea Tree EO
JoJoba Oil
Mixed bottle of castor/EVOO for OCM
Bottle of ACV (trying it diluted as a toner to see how that works)
Home made whipped Shea body butter (which is what most of the oils listed above go into)
Bottle of Biologe leave in spray conditioner I don't use
Hair Gel neither my FH nor I have used in a loooong time, but have just in case
Jar of cuticle cream I occasionally use (gift from last Christmas)
Tube of St. Ives Green Tea Face Scrub (stopped using when I started OCM, need to use up)
Tube of St. Ives Aprict scrub (same as above)
Last remaining bits of the Acne Free Sensitive Skin face wash/lotion/spot treatment combo I gave an honest 5 months to work and it didn't, should just throw it out)

There's way more than I need in there. I actually just went and took some stuff out so my list wouldn't be ridiculous

1. Bare Escentuals face wash (it isn't sufficient to control my acne, but I use it in the shower)
*2. Oil shampoo (Suave Daily Clarifying Shampoo + coconut oil) in a squeeze bottle.
3. The rest of the bottle of Suave shampoo to dilute my mixture once my hair is getting saturated with oil
*4. 2 partially used bottles of body wash... make that one, just moved one to the cabinet
5. Tresemme Naturals conditioner in pump bottle (trying to use this up)
*6. Vo5 Tea Therapy conditioner in pump bottle (this is my primary conditioner)
7. Garnier Fructis Triple Nutrition
8. Macadamia Natural Oil Deep Repair Masque (that one just sits there)
*9. 3 razors (one is my sister's, one could be removed)
*10. Homemade body scrub
*11. 3 sponge type things (I should probably throw out one)
12. 2 big hair clips
*13. a comb
14. Small bottle of sulfate free shampoo (what I used to use)
15. cheapie shower cap
16. Redken chelating shampoo (used rarely, doesn't need to be in shower)

I could remove some more of these things, but my sister will be home on friday and might use some of them. The things with the * are the only thing I use regularly. I have one of those shower curtains with pockets, so there's plenty of space for everything, and that's probably why it's stayed.

I used to have lots of stuff in my shower, but now I'm a minimalist - it's easier not to constantly knock things down when there's less of them ;) Currently I have:

1. A plastic jar with some homemade salt body scrub.
2. TRESemmé Naturals Moisture Conditioner.
3. Kiss My Face Whenever Conditioner.
4. A bar of Sweet Honey Shampoo from Henna Sooq (sporadically I'll use it for hair, most of the time for my body).
5. Trader Joe's Mango Shaving Cream.
6. Razor.

Belonging to my hubby:
1. A bar of cedar scented soap of some mysterious company (never can remember the name).
2. Organix Coconut Shampoo.

I wash my hair with shikakai and amla, but I prepare my herbs in the kitchen just before I shower/bathe. Leave in conditioners and facial products are kept near the bathroom sink, some in our bedroom on my dresser.

Well, the amount of stuff in my shower has drastically decreased from what it once was.
My stuff:
-Desert Essence Organics Moisturizing shampoo
-an empty bottle of Desert Essence Organics Moisturizing conditioner :p
-Burt's Bees Super Shiny Shampoo
-Burt's Bees Super Shiny Conditioner
-Trader Joe's Tea Tree Tingle Body wash (almost empty)
-Queen Helene Honey Oatmeal face scrub
-Emu Oil and Tea Tree facial soap
-Neutrogena BodyClear Grapefruit Body Scrub
-Bath and Body Works Sweet Pea Triple Moisture body wash
-Bath and Body Works Carried Away Triple Moisture body wash
-v05 Sun kissed raspberries conditioner
-v05 Passionfruit Smoothie conditioner
-v05 Strawberries and Cream conditioner
-v05 Kiwi Lime Clarifying shampoo
-a tub of peppermint sugar scrub my mom made
-an empty grapeseed oil bottle (for diluting my shampoo)
-a fluffy scrubby thing
-a razor
-a pumice stone
-a water jug for my ACV rinses
For DBF:
-an empty bottle of Suave naturals 2 in 1
-a bottle of Mane 'n Tail 2 in 1

I feel ridiculously high maintenance. The weird thing is that my shower doesn't look full or cluttered. I guess we have a big shower?

I don't like to put anything in the shower on the window ledges or edges of the tub, so I try to restrict my products to only what will fit in my shower caddy (with three shelves). The exception is that I do have a squeegee thing that hangs from a hook on the shower wall.

I have:

VO5 Kiwi Lime Squeeze Shampoo
VO5 Kiwi Lime Squeeze Conditioner
Garnier Triple Nutrition Conditioner
Three scents of Philosophy body wash (I have five more in the under sink cabinet that I am waiting to put out until these are gone; my mother-in-law buys them for me and I do like the scents a lot)
The Body Shop strawberry-scented bar soap
Cerave face wash
A razor
A pumice stone
A poofy loofah
A Clarisonic face washing device (I've gotten two as a gift; I do like them though)

DH has:

Body wash
2-in-1 shampoo and conditioner
A washcloth
A razor
A shower mirror

I don't know how we manage to fit it all into the caddy, but it works!

My bathroom doesn't have a medicine cabinet or shelves, so I usualy just have my conditioner, shampoo, razor, face wash, and body wash in the shower, with a ponytail holder and my perfume on this little tiny ledge by the window. All my other products have to go elsewhere haha.
My bathroom used to be like a mini drugstore though, partly because I don't throw stuff away even when I don't like it. Just in case, in like three years I'll suddenly like that Paul Mitchell leave in conditioner... IDK it's a habit I need to break.

Sunflower oil (for shaving my legs!)
Shampoo (This is my SO's. Really, I have nothing to with it ;))
Anti fungal shampoo that I don't need anymore
Tresemme Naturals Conditioner
Natural sponge
Razor
A large cup for different rinses

We have very little space in our shower. My large bottle of sunflower oil is on the floor and everything else just barely fits in our little shelf.

Nothing! :p

I don't wash my hair in the shower, I usually do my bathing in my bathtub and there is no room for my stuff there, so I store my hairthings in a cabinet in the bathroom.

It has these things on it's shelves:

- A swedish brand called Naturell Conditioner, good for co-ing, several flasks, I use the empty ones to delute.

- Same brand schampoo, I use to clarify and as a showergel too, so none of my washing products have cons ans so on in it.
I felt so smart when a came up with this idea! :D

- ACV

- Coconutoil

- Oliveoil

Luckily in the bathroom there's some shelves because i have a serious issue with buying new things. I have slapped my hand a few times because pound land does sell some good things:

Herbal Essences Beautiful Ends Shampoo and Conditioner
Herbal Essences Give Me Moisture Shampoo and Conditioner
Toni and Guy Straight and Protect Shampoo and Conditioner
Tresemme Luxurious Moisture Shampoo and Conditioner (big bottles)
Tresemme Reconstructing Deep Conditioner
Charles Worthington Shine Conditioner (small one)
Original Source Honey and Shea Butter and a Mint one
Tangle Teezer (in a pretty pink)
Wide Tooth Comb
Coconut Shower Smoothie
Nair Hair Removal
DermaV10 Cocoa Body Scrub and Body Wash
2 Types of Carino Conditioner
Johnsons Baby Shampoo
Soft Musk Talc Powder, Body Wash, and Perfume
Avon Summer Breeze After Shower Mist,
Clean and Clear Deep Action Face Wash
Usual time o' the month things
Razors

i also have the large version of Dazzling Shine Shampoo and Conditioner to use but im going to use the rest of my shampoops up first, as there's al ready quite a bit of my stuff in there. and i always use Cocoa Butter Cream on my face after the shower so i dont get flakey eyebrows (yes eyebrow dandruff) and then some Avon Naturals Leave in Conditioner after i wash my hair. i have a few other things but they'll be hidden away behind my mans shower gels.
i MIGHT have a problem with buying new things, but herbal essences for a £1..if i like it i get it, same with shower gels but thats mainly for my man :)

-giant bottle of Pert 2-in-1 shampoo, shared with the husband
-shaving cream and razor
-shower poof thingy

I feel almost Spartan compared to some people! Not that it's BAD to have a lot of products if they work for you... I'm just lazy with my hair, I guess.

I feel like my shower is empty compared to everyone else... I have

Suave Daily Clarifying Shampoo
Body Wash (Right now its suave honey and milk, but I buy a different scent each time)
Razor
Husband's Shampoo
Husband's Soap

I use oil to condition and I keep it out of the shower. I can't imagine how some people can fit in their showers with all those things in there!

For the Boyfriend:
A giant bottle of Aussie Shampoo
Dove Mens soap

For me:
Redkin Cat Protein treatment
An open package of Ions reconstructor (I find it lasts a while and I don't use it everytime I wash)
Dove bodywash (I hate it but I'm too cheap to throw it out)
A razor
A blond hair glaze from when I had blonde hair (over a year ago, I should probably just chuck it)
Live Clean's Shampoo and Conditioner in Purple Wave
Aussie 3MM
Joico's K-Pak Reconstuctor
Neutrogena's clarifying shampoo (though currently it's on the sink with my bleaching supplies as I use it in my bleach baths).
A purple conditioner for toneing the brassyness out of my bleached hair. I think it's called Silver Mane(too lazy to go and check)

I've gained a few extra things as I'm bleaching dark brown out of my hair so lots of products to try to save as much length as possible. Before bleaching I just had the Live Clean shampoo and conditioner and the redkin protein treatment for my hair.

Yay, another abba patroness! :joy:

Yes! I love that it is 100% Vegan, SLS and parabean free. :) I actually only purchased it because the AVEDA store was closed when I was out running my errands, so I spent an hour or more in Ulta trying to find a suitable alternative, and ended up with ABBA, and I have to say I'm really happy with it. What scent do you use, and how long have you been using it?

For DH:

Head a Shoulders Dry Scalp care conditioner

Mostly this stuff is medications, cotton balls, nail polish and remover, DD4 has two containers of hair toys (starting early) and two shelves of bath toys. Sweet Almond Oil, Argan Oil, Coconut Oil, Apricot Oil, Giovanni Direct Weightless Moisture Leave-In Conditioner, my make-up bag, lotion for my ezcema...

I have one vat of conditioner, Biolage Conditioning Balm. And a small bottle with my shampoo of choice. I have a vial of stuff for washing my skin. I have two kinds of japanese scrubbies for my back and my face. I have some stuff for washing my face. I have my toothbrush and paste, and a razor for shaving, and a brush for cleaning combs -- and that's it! I have very little stuff in my bathtub area where I also have my shower. I never did like loads of bottles all around crowding me out of my workspace.

I don't use a washcloth as I find them too tough on my skin. I also softened the water, which has saved me tons of discomfort. Recently for Christmas, I was given a vial of body soap, with SLS in it, and it has caused my skin to begin itching, especially in my thigh area. Very irritating. Oh well, I didn't want to waste it, either.

Oh, I do have a long mat the length of the bathtub (I have combination tub/shower) so I won't slip in the tub when I wash my hair. It's a safety tool.

Mine is spread over two showers because I use both regularly, but here it goes:

Shower 1
Inecto Coconut Moisture Miracle conditioner
Garnier Triple Nutrition conditioner
Petal Fresh Tea Trea shampoo
Petal Fresh Tea Trea conditioner
Nivea lily showergel
Clearskin face scrubgel
Razor, showercap and loofah

Shower 2:
Inecto Coconut Moisture Miracle conditioner
Garnier Triple Nutrition conditioner
Body Shop Cherry Blossom shower gel (expensive so special occasions only)
Fa showergel Mystic Moments Black Pearl
Dove Body Milk extra hydrating
Razor, showercap and loofah

But that's only in my shower, I have more on the sink xD off the top of my head that would be:
Batiste blush dry shampoo
Coconut oil
Olive oil spray
Castor Oil
Inecto leave-in conditioner
Nivea lotus extract moisturizer
Nivea pure and natural moisturizer
Syoss heat protectant and hair spray (for bangs)
Appel Cider Vinegar
And some make-up removers that I use occasionally

Okay that was more than I thought ^^; I probably forgot some things as well....

There's nothing in my shower except some soap bars, one of those scrubby net things, and a shower cap. Everything is hung up high so it dries out. We have hard water, and if bottles are left in the shower they tend to get yucky looking after a while, so I keep everything in the hall closet and bring what I need in with me each time. Keeps the shower neater, and cleaner, too! I'm not a neat freak, bu scummy bottles yick me out. :D

Ummm... I'm a little embarrassed by the following list. I used to like to keep a fairly simple routine, hair/make-up wise etc. But I've been lurking around the LHC since about September last year and tried (and loved) CO in December. I read about all these great techniques, products etc. and, well, this is what you've done to me..... (enablers!)

In the shower: (favourites)

Alchemy Shampoo - Rice Aminos & Wheat Protein (assigned to BF to use up)
Alchemy Conditioner - Macadamia & Wheat
Nourish Naturals Shampoo - Avocado & Jojoba (assigned to BF to use up)
Nourish Naturals Conditioner - Avocado & Jojoba
Garnier Fructis Conditioner - Deep Repair
Garnier Fructis Conditioner - Triple Nutrition
VO5 Conditioner - Kiwi Lime Squeeze
VO5 Conditioner - Sun Kissed Raspberry
VO5 Conditioner - Rosemary & Fresh Mint
Stefan Classic Conditioner - The Ultimate Treatment
Herbal Essences Conditioner - Hello Hydration
Herbal Essences Conditioner - Long Term Relationship
Love Y'Hair Conditioner - Unperfumed
Simply Natural Oils Conditioner - Rosemary
Five Stars Conditioner - Everyday ($1/1L... simple and awesome for CO)
Matrix Biolage Hydratherapie - Aqua-Immersion Creme Masque (too heavy for frequent use but incredible for getting henna out easily, even Yemeni!)
Several shampoo bars that were ok but now I prefer CO so they've also been assigned to the BF to use up.

In the cupboard:
Coconut oil, castor oil, sweet almond oil, jojoba oil, shea butter, various essential oils, mineral oil, low sodium soy sauce (yes I even tried that), raw honey, pure aloe vera gel, aluminium free baking soda, raw apple cider vinegar and a heat cap.

Oh, and in the fridge/freezer:
Yemeni henna, hibiscus powder, amla powder.

:o I've banned myself from buying anymore hair products. I know it's probably average for LHC'ers but it feels a little excessive right now. I think I better head over and join the folks on the 'use up your stash' thread.

Not much, I have 3 flatmates so we keep only basic things inside and the rest in cupboards. I have:
^ 3 body washes (I need to have an alternative, depending on a mood ;) )
^ a puffy thing to wash with
End :D
We have about 16-18 bottles in total inside anyway, so there is absolutely no need for my hair stuff :D

Doing this from memory.

Selsun Blue Naturals shampoo,
Suave coconut Shampoo that really could be under the sink instead.
Suave coconut conditioner
Garnier Fructis Triple Nutrition conditioner that I use as a leave-in
Coconut oil, also part of my leave in

Cheap mosturizing body wash
a razor
shave cream
Rinse off lotion for after shaving.
Clinique face wash
A shower poof
a claw clip for keeping my hair out of the body wash.

The shampoos might get cut in the near future as I decide whether I can co-wash in a way that my scalp agrees with.

Of these, the Shiseido samples and the Aveda are close to being empty. In both cases I won't repurchase. The Pantene only gets used pre-henna application, the H&S only gets used once a week or so, and the Madder Root only gets used every two or three weeks! All I have in the actual shower is shower gel - everything else is either in the bathroom cabinet or the 3 drawer wicker chest.

I went through a phase where I bought every conditioner, shower gel, body butter and hand lotion I saw but I've gone cold turkey on a mission to actually use everything! I keep my toiletries in my room (and separate from my family because they love to 'borrow' my stuff if it's in plain sight). So technically, this is what I have stashed in my room...

Body stuff:

Radox Bath Therapy
Soap and Glory Flake Away
Nivea Deo x2
Soap and Glory Body Butter
Boots Mango Body Butter
Boots Mango Body Scrub
Salux Towel x2

Hair stuff:

Almond oil
Moroccan Oil
Elasta QP Creme Conditioning Shampoo x2
Elasta QP Intense Conditioner
Garnier Repair and Shine Conditioner x3
Tangle Teezer
Boots Coconut and Sweet Almond Intensive Conditioner x3

I dont have a shower unfortunately...only a bath!
but I only keep a bar of soap on the side (my bathroom is tiny enough that I can lean out the bath and grab things off the windowsill and sink without getting out!!LOL):D

Besides which I used to have a shelf above my bath which I got rid of after dropping shampoo/bubble bath bottles into it on 3 occasions. Each time I cracked the tub so now I keep my toiletries out of the way!

Oh yeah I have about six million cheapie disposable razors at various levels of disintegration too. Despite the fact that I have a fancy epilator.

Ooh, it is fun to read around and see what everyone is using! It is like snooping in a friend's bath without the guilt, lol

In my shower I have:
Kirkland colorsafe shampoo and conditioner
Baking soda for occasional clarifying rinses
Organix body wash
Doterra facial scrub
Doterra face wash
Suave strawberry conditioner (for rinsing out henna and shaving)
Decrepid venus razor with horribly old blade that I always forget to buy replacements for
Smooth wide tooth comb
Pink poufy thingy
Plastic cup for diluting things and special rinses

That about covers it. Dh has his bar of soap and that is all. I have half a dozen different sls free shampoos that didn't work for my hair hidden under my sink though. Always good to offer a guest a few choices, lol.

Tj's shampoo and condish, Johnson's body wash for the men folk, bar soap, back scrubber, wide toothed plastic comb. Just outside the shower where I can reach them is a honey bear and a plastic tub for homemade rinses.

There's hardly anything. Just shampoo, conditioner, body wash, intimate hygiene wash and a razor. The liquids are in dispensers as I buy them in large containers. I keep my deodorant, face cream and perfume a bit further away in the bathroom and that's pretty much what I use if cosmetics are concerned :-) The olive oil is in the kitchen :-P

A lot of poos and conditioners that my hair hates. Must clean out shower stall and use these poos to wash toilet with. The milder poos can be used to wash hand knitted sweaters with.
As for the conditioners, well, the trash can has been invented...

Not much!

- A bottle with my DIY wash/condish.
- Razor.
- Shaving soap.
- Regular castile soap or a DIY wash.
- Sometimes a miscellaneous empty bottle from a previous experiment I forgot to put away last time I got out.

Just outside the shower in arm's reach, I have a body brush and a soft toothbrush for occasional exfoliation of the body and face, respectively.

That's pretty much it.

I have a couple other things, but use them sufficiently infrequently that I don't keep them in or near my shower.

-Dr. Bronner's Unscented Baby Mild soap (half and half mix, plus sweetgrass essential oil for scent). Serves as both shampoo and body-wash.
-Mixed Chicks Leave-In Conditioner.
-Almond-oil and sweetgrass oil mix for oiling. (Most often post-shower oiling, but with a pre-shower oiling every one or two months if my hair needs it.)
-Razor.
-Lollia's "Wander" Lotion. It smells so wonderful!
-Toothpaste.

I'm a huge fan of benign neglect.

I have a dispenser on the wall filled with my usual shampoo and conditioner. A small ledge holds face wash. A shower caddy on the pipe holds a couples bars of soap and shampoo bars. A pair of crocs hang on the hooks. I don't like standing on the floor for long. :) Oh and a large claw clip for holding my hair up.

My shower is pretty small so I don't like to have it too cluttered. Plus every additional item is more trouble when cleaning the shower. It's so humid here mold grows easily everywhere.

Conditioner to be used as a first conditioner if I feel like doing CWC wash, another conditioner, shampoo and body wash. I have a super small bathroom (less than 20 sq feet) so I try to keep my product range as minimal as possible.

In the shower I just have Dove sensitive body wash, my razor, a washcloth,

Shampoo, conditioner, shower gel on a shower caddy and a tub of hair mask on the floor. I don't have much storage in my bathroom, so it kind of forces me to use up what I already have. Leave-in standing on top of the washing machine, and hair oil on a side table in the living room. I'm considering adding an extra shampoo to my routine, but I have no idea where to put it..
