Hair type me?

I've been a bit confused as to my hair type since I joined LHC. First I thought I was 1C, but then I thought my hair must be wavier than that, so I tried letting it dry without combing, but I'm still a bit confused. Help?

I would say, uncombed, it is 2A but just barely. I suppose if you want to be really precise you could say 1C/2A.

A few questions about your routine. Does your hair look better when you comb it after a wash? Do you have a serious problem with frizz when you comb? If the answers are yes and no, respectively, then I would keep it as a 1C.

Figuring out one's "true hairtype" is only beneficial when it comes to discovering hidden waves and curls that were being suppressed by combing/brushing, and would manifest as frizz. Curly and wavy hair often needs a different routine than straight and straighter hairtypes. From what I can tell from your pictures, I don't think your hair is wavy enough to warrant an entirely new routine, unless you want to encourage your waves to become more prominent.

When my hair is your length it's 1c, and I have a little less body wave than you, I think. You might be 2a.
