I've been experimenting with a new (to me) hairstyle lately, and figured it was time to share it. I call it "Pseudo Loose Hair."

What I do is start by putting my back hair up in a quick, high bun. This doesn't have to be nice, it is just temporary to get the hair out of the way.

Then I smooth back my front hair, from both sides, and fasten it together in a low ponytail, at the back of my neck just below my hairline.

Finally, I undo the bun of my back hair, so that it falls over the low ponytail, hiding it completely.

The result is what looks like loose hair that is tucked behind the ears. But it is much more secure, with the front hair holding back the back hair, so that it doesn't keep falling forward over my shoulders and into my face.

I suspect this will work best for thicker hair, so that the back hair can be sure to obscure the low ponytail.

Alas, no, I don't currently have access to a digital camera.
