I don't see one of these for July so figured I'd start it up.

I'm a little over another half inch up this month. I just rounded it to the half inch, so 38.25 for me.

38 inches.

I have had a year of slow growth due to some medicine induced problems.

But it seems to grow normal now. But then I trimmed off 1 cm last week so still 38.

I trimmed almost 3.5" to even and thicken up my hemline...so I'm measuring in at about 46.5" right now, still in the neighborhood between thumb- and fingertip-length.

I didn't measure last month, so I don't know how much it grew, but it's currently at 37,7"

Same as last month just about.... most hair at 40-42 inches, virgin hair at 9 inches. :( Wish it was more.

July 2nd, 2010, 02:24 AM
45.1" but I trimmed a week ago. I had a 1" trim at the end of may, too, it was 44.5" after the trim. So it's 0.6" longer than a month ago but I had a trim meanwhile. This is a good amount of growth then! :D

A couple days after measuring last month, I trimmed half an inch. I made up for it this month, plus some! An inch of new growth puts me at 21.5"!

Lemur_Catta

In inches, that would be 31,1, with a growth of 0,8 inches ^^ I love summer xD

I actually gained 1 1/8" this month so I'm pretty happy. In the last 3 months I've grown 2 5/8" so I'm doing really well. I'm wondering if the hair growth vitamins I started taking 2 months ago have anything to do with this.

My hair isn't measuring any longer this month, but it looks a bit longer and it is acting longer. So I'm still at 29.5". I think I'm getting rid of the tape measure and just doing photos.

Henrietta

Let's say 29.2". Nothing has changed since May, as I trimmed my hair.

May 5`th: 26,8 inches
June 5`th: 27,4 inches
July 3`rd: 27,8 inches (HAD to measure today, have to do a micro trim, so wanted to measure first)

squiggyflop
July 3rd, 2010, 08:52 AM
june 21st=38 inches
july 3rd= 38.75 inches
so .75 inches in 12 days

38.75 inches.... ugh i want to trim.. i can feel a little part of me begging me to trim because of the taper i felt during measuring.. my stupid hair grows at all different rates and my under layer is out growing my canopy making it look like i had long layers cut in my hair..

StephanieB
July 3rd, 2010, 10:19 AM
WOOT!! Some growth (finally)!!

22 1/4 inches this morning! :cheese: (after last week's 1/4-inch trim, too) :cheese:

It was 21 1/2 inches in the beginning of May. I didn't measure in the beginning of June.
Now, I'm starting off July after a much-needed quarter-inch trim to get rid of splits - at 22 1/4 inches!! :D

I guess that all of the caramel treatments, careful hair care and choice of products, coconut oilings - and now Nightblooming Panacea's Hair Salve - are finally working and my hair is growing!!! *doing a happy-happy-joy-joy dance*

Mid May 27 inches, today 29 inches. Hoping for true waist by Thanksgiving. (31 inches?)

May I ask...

How do you measure the entire length of your hair?
from the front of the hairline down to tips in front (where bangs usually are)? or do you start at the hair line and wrap it around to the back of your head all the way down to the tips and include the cm that the curve is? (if you know what I mean lol)

FrannyG
July 4th, 2010, 07:35 AM
SapphiraSilver, the standard way we measure here at LHC is from the middle of the forehead hairline, straight back to the tips of the ends at the back. This gives us a non-changing starting point to measure from. I hope I explained that in a way that is understandable.

As for me, I trimmed 2 inches in June to get rid of the tip of the V-shape, so while the middle back of my hair lost length, the sides did not.

I still did grow 5/8 of an inch after the trim, bringing me to 24 inches.

So you kind of curve the measuring tape over your head (start middle of hairline at forehead, up and curving to middle of head, then all the way down to the middle back) I hope the way I picture it is right lol. Too bad I don't have a flexible measuring tape, but then mine is too short anyway lol.

Thank you for explaining :)

31.25" this month. Same as last month. I'd rounded up last month, and I did an aggressive S&D a couple weeks ago, so no growth. :/

Yes, you curve the measuring tape from the front hairline, over the middle of the top of the head, and straight down the middle to the ends.

I use a dressmaker's measuring tape. They're not expensive.

I measured in at 31 or 32 inches (I usually have my mum measure for me so I'm a little unsure). I started out in March at 28 (I believe).

When I started accidentally growing my hair out long again last summer my hair was approximately 20 inches. So wewt! I've come a long ways.

I left my measuring tape in a different city, so no measure-in this month. Ah well, that means it will 'look like' double the growth next month :p

July 6th, 2010, 08:55 AM
Last month I did a shaping self-trim to give a bit more U-shape and clean up the edges. I've decided to consider it maintaining to thicken and even up my hemline. :) So maintaining at 34".

Calaelen
July 6th, 2010, 09:12 AM
36.5!!!!! I can barely believe it, but I measured every which way, and got my sister to help, it is true. For those who don't know, I started using monistat just over a month ago, and I got 1.5 inches to my usual 1/2 inch to 3/4 of an inch usual growth per month.

I guess it could just be the summer growth spurt, but if it is the monistat and I get 1.5 inches per month consistently I will be ecstatic!

Just a quarter-inch this month, up to 23 1/2". I'll chalk it up to the stress of traveling and radical changes in diet :P

Courtney, are you measuring your hair from your hairline and back down your head, to the ends, or just from the nape where the hair starts to the ends?

Your hair is gorgeous!! So much envy :D
