I can't say that I ordinarily pay that much attention to Australian politics, but someone in another online forum I belong to posted a thread asking for reactions to Australia's new prime minister. Most comments were positive -- and more than one added something to the effect of, "I know this is kind of shallow, but I like her hair." So I just had to look.

I case you haven't seen her, here she is. Not long, but great color:

Julia Gillard's partner is a hairdresser. Apparently he gets up at 4 just to do her hair (bit of an aw moment). I like this colour better than her intense orange a few years ago.

Very excited by the first Australian female Prime Minister ever :)

My first reaction to the title probably means that I spend too much time on the internet ...

"What? Australia has private massaging? With hair? :hmm:"

It took me a while to figure out that you meant the new Australian prime minister :p. Abbreviations are hard for us with English as a second or third language. So IŽll go and do some mod-magic to make the headline a bit easier

Being Australian (not in Australia but still Australian!) I am very VERY happy with a female Prime Minister(ess)! I always liked Julia and it's great news she is now PM!

Also, I love her hair, I saw a pic of her recently and she had it her red colour but with black streaks, she is so awesome!

Yay!

Haha cool, she looks a bit like one of the "colleagues" I had over there.

Ooh, it looks lovely. :)
That color, IMO, is pretty hard to pull off. Her and many LHC-ers manage to rock that color pretty damn well - not fair! :p

Pretty! In that photo, she immediately brought to mind Tilda Swinton (http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3002/2858266962_c271c11049.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.flickr.com/photos/divxplanet/2858266962/&usg=__2QkiDck1MIWtzzNHE7oTHTISGR8=&h=333&w=500&sz=101&hl=en&start=2&sig2=WdKggGO-QtZBGaU9d7Jpfg&um=1&itbs=1&tbnid=wmP3SgTFYD5Q0M:&tbnh=87&tbnw=130&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dtilda%2Bswinton%2Bburn%2Bafter%2Bread ing%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DN%26rlz%3D1G1GGLQ_EN US274%26tbs%3Disch:1&ei=rgUlTKP9CIWUjAfm_ohs) in the movie Burn after Reading.

Meh, I expected at least tailbone length before I opened the pic :p
Quite ordinary if you ask me.

Yes, she's a natural redhead and she even made a mention of it in her first speech as our Prime Minister! I love her hair colour, I don't love her hair style and especially don't love her politics....but that's for another forum :D

Good for the redheads in the world to be represented by so talented a woman. I see she keeps it cut to a more hassle free and "sake of convenience" length.

Oh, it's a natural color! Well, that makes a difference. I like her more now :P

Proud to be an Aussie during this historical milestone! It's about time! :) Hair colour is nice, but is it darker towards the tip? :eye:

Oh, a new prime minister! I should really pay more attention to the news
