View Full Version : Prom hairstyle help.

My prom is fast approaching (2nd July) and I'm stuck on what hairstyle I should have. I am so tempted to heat style, but then I always find me giving myself reasons why I shouldn't.

I was thinking about going for this hairstyle by Brittany Snow (I chose a celebrity hairstyle that I thought my hair would look similar to in a certain style):

I'm stuck on whether to use curling irons for the side ponytail, or whether I should just leave it natural (this photo is a good example), don't judge :o:

Actually, I think my natural hair in a side ponytail may look thicker than Brittany Snow's looks in that photo (when I leave my hair natural, when it's brushed, the ponytail circumference can shoot up 4" or 4.5" :uhh: whereas when it's flat-ironed it can be in between 2.5" or 3.5"), oh and bare in mind that not all my hair is brought forward (I sound so obsessive :/).

If you have any other updo's you want to recommend, please feel free to do so. :)

I think you could get those wavy curls from your hair without heat. Experiment with sock rollers or thick strips of cloth for rag curls.

Hmm, I'll look into that. I will have to experiment beforehand though, in case it goes entirely wrong. :p

Yeah, pick a night and rag curl one side, and bun the other. Preferably one where you can put your hair up the next day :D if you search "bandanna waves", these look awesome as well.
