Hey y'all :D I'm going through a little dilemma right now. I'm looking to darken my light-red hair to match the darker ends and roots (it's basically looks like light red sandwiched between dark red and brown ehk!!), NATURALLY. I don't have access to henna, otherwise I would be trying to henndigo it (which I may at a later time).

Does anybody have any natural ways to darken hair? Please share :)

coffee rinse

I don't know how because I have never done them but they do darken hair.

There are a number of threads on these boards about darkening hair naturally with recommendations for using coffee, tea, molasses, castor oil, cocoa powder, iron oxides and black sesame seeds. A search will turn up all of them.

Black sesame seeds are mentioned in this thread (a brilliant, innovative recipe) and there is a post I did on castor oil. http://forums.longhaircommunity.com/showthread.php?t=49058

Another brilliant and innovative idea, cocoa powder as a dry shampoo.
