It fell out and down my cleavage. Was a beetley thing and sadly the tale ends with bug death (I freaked out!)

I wanted to share my near death experience.

Excuse me now, I wish to bug spray my hair.

One day, several of my friends and I were sitting around playing a game. One of my friends (a guy) who has pretty long ("BSL" length) hair that unfortunately isn't very well taken care of (very nesty-looking) was talking. The rest of us watched in silent, transfixed horror as a bug landed in his hair and disappeared inside. We said "_____, there's a bug in your hair!!!" and he shook his head. A bug fell out.

A different bug.

It was horrifying.

I am now scarred for life. :scared:

Around here we have these AWFUL little gnats that love to fly full tilt into your face and bounce around, and they like to get into your hairline and then they get stuck and buzz around. I've nearly gone off the deep end trying to get it out without squishing it and getting bug guts in my hair.

I'm just squirming reading this stuff........I don't mind bugs, as long as they aren't on me. I think I would totally flip if I found one in my hair.

I had a spider the size of a quarter in my hair the other day at my sister's graduation. Some lovely lady slapped it out of my head for me, and boy was I not happy when I saw it...
ETA: forgot to mention how it got there. We rode on a golf cart to the actual graduation because my grandmother can't walk very far anymore, and that's apparently where it got on me. EWWWWWW

In college, I had a spider that lived in the corner above the stairs, too high to reach, for the entire 2 years I lived in that house! I eventually named him "Herb".

Hehe! When I was in high school I had a spider that lived in my bathroom (whenever I saw him, he was near the ceiling) for awhile, and I called him Herbie. :) I guess that name just fits spiders.

The other day I got back from an evening walk and found a green inchworm on top of my head. That was a first for me.

I found a wood chip in my hair earlier today. I have no idea where it came from. I washed my hair this morning; it wasn't there then. I didn't spend any time in a construction zone after that.

Well, that's incredibly random.
Then again I find colored feathers and such in my hair all the time, and am no where near feathers... ever.
I think people are messing with me and putting stuff in my hair. haha

I did find a good bit of paper in my hair yesterday. Still don't know where that came from.

My college is full of little flying bugs and giant ants that like to end up in strange places about your person, especially places where you do not want them to be. San Diego is so much better in comparison. I prefer spiders in my bed to gnats in my hair and clothing any day. Spiders actually cooperate with your efforts to find better locations for them, but flies and ants just go crazy and make it hard to remove them without squishing the poor things.

For some odd reason I always seem to have a spider in my hair :lol They prefer to come out right at the bangs, between the eyes.

my sister had a spiders nest in her hair once....found babye spiders 2 weeks later! EEEEEEEEK! urgh oh that made me eek! talking of bugs (anyone who is eating, please put down your food) there was a case a few years back of a woman who came home from holiday with severe ear aches.

She was started on antibiotics but the pain was getting worse, so several weeks on and after many different unsuccessful anti biotic therapies, still the pain continued so she was sent to see a specialist, when he looked in her ears, he found loads of little spiders, baby ones ! apparently a spider when she was on holiday must of climbed into her ear and laid some eggs, these where the babies!

made my stomach crawl Bwaaaaa!

Pegs - I think you are getting the wrong impression of spiders. Perhaps some anthropomorphic therapy is in order  I prescribe two chapters of "Charlotte's Web" each day until the book is finished.;)

I used to have MAJOR bug/hair phobia...

I have been stung twice from bees that got into my hair, and much to both mine and their distress, couldn't get out! Not using any scented hair products at all has helped a lot.

Pegs....I share your horror. Really.

Many years ago, when DH and I were just married, we went to a boat show in Long Beach, California. Gorgeous, sunny, summer day and my waist length permed hair (yeah, it was the 80s and I was a fierce big-hair kinda girl). We have these big irridescent green beetles that fly around in summer. So we're walking hand in hand, looking at the boats and eating ice cream cones and this enormous beetle flies right into the back of my head with a "thwak" loud enough to be hears by people standing nearby (who all turned to look at what the sound was).

Loudly Buzzing Beetle + long curly hair = One Freaked Out Grrl! I'm not afraid of beetles at all, but having one buzz around in your hair is a totally different story. Yeah, I screamed just like a girl, flung my ice cream cone into the air and started shaking my hair and trying to pull the beetle out (shrieking and panicking - I admit it!). Which only made things worse. DH finally calmed me down enough to dig the beetle out of my hair - and when he did there was, to my utter horror, a huge crowd of people gathered around me, clapping and cheering as DH released the still alive and buzzing beetle into the air.

I still worry about things like this happening.

I am having flashback's of the tarantuala scene in the first indiana jones movie - ugh, that gave me the creeps (watched it again this weekend, it STILL gives me creeps) little spiders are fine, big - hairy ones, not so fine...

I don't like either any more, but I can take ... say... a tarantula better than I ca take a small spider that I might not know is there. :shudder:
