My first year anniversary is here!

Its been one full year since I've become a member here. Time really flies! :p I have enjoyed sharing all my many progress pics, and you guys have seen all of my haircolor changes from my natural virgin jet black to my now new blond highlights. Thank you everyone for being so kind, this really is a great place! Here's to many more anniversaries! :cheese:

This is of course my old avatar. Virgin, jet black, and flat ironed. Yes, I do iron my hair because first and foremost I need to enjoy how my hair looks. In any case, my hair is super strong as you all know, I get my hair blown out every week and its still just as healthy and shiny as ever.

Here, I lightened my base color to a medium brown and then added in copper red highlights.

When you are looking at the list of threads:

Here is another wish for a happy anniversary. :) I think the thing I love more than your hair (and you have some pretty amazingly gorgeous hair!) is how you stand up for what you believe in, and particularly the right to individual freedom. You have always been firmly on the side of those who may not be in the mainstream, defending freedom of choice as the absolute right of the individual, without passing judgement. Not many are willing to side against the majority in defense of the individual. Thank you for doing so. You make me try harder to be a better person.

I hope you are here for years to come.

I think that your hair has thickened up quite a bit too:) I have heard that henna swells your hair strand and makes your hair thicker, can the same be said for chemical hair dye?

I've trimmed a total of about 3 inches off in this past year. Even with all that trimming, I still have gained about 5 extra inches within this past year. My ends are thicker because I get a dusting done every 2 or 3 months.

I love how you're not afraid to experiment with your hair, and that you do what makes you happy. While your natural black hair is beautiful, I think your current colour rocks - it just brightens up your whole face!
