I was at work Saturday, wearing my hair down for the first time in months when the guy I was working with. Our 76 year old Chief Bailiff looked at me and said. You have real old timey hair, long and shiny and healthy. You just don't see people with hair like yours enough any more.

What a sweet thing to say, awww you have to give that man a hug lol. Have you noticed it tends to be either the older folks or the very young who appreciate long hair?

Oh, my goodness, "sweet" was the first thing that came to my mind too. How lovely to hear such a nice thing. And he's right.

That's such an awesome compliment! It seems the older/middle generation usually have negative things to say about really long hair, and those in your own age group often make rude comments as well out of jealousy/ignorance. What a nice old man, that's so sweet :)

What a lovely compliment.

It's strange but 50 years ago in my part of the world (when he was a young man) I don't think he would have seen much "old fashioned hair" I know my grandma kept hers short and permed until she became quite bald with the bad treatment. And during and after the war there was quite a fashion for utilitarian short - my other grandma is the same.
