Help with a hair style

I always admired those fancy looking ponytails that look kind of lifted up a bit. Any idea what I'm talking about and how to make one?

When my hair was shoulder length I'd put it in a low pony, then use a clip to attach the whole pony to my head, above the hair band an inch or so. The other way I've varied a pony at shoulder length is by using a topsy tail, and pulling the pony tail up through between the band and my scalp. Both of these make the pony tail look "lifted"... is that what you are looking for?

It's not topsy tail. Could be the other one. Do you bend it up a bit or something? I wonder what kind of clip would work for this.
