Saturday I talked DH into giving me a major trim. 7 centimeters (2.8 in) of damaged hair that did nothing but break and tangle. And, my layers are gone! Yay! Now, I can start some serious growing. I plan on getting dusted every 4 weeks to slowly get the rest of my damage out and still have some growth.
All in all, I'm happy with my decision to get a lot of damage out once and for all. I'm also thrilled that my layers are gone. My hemline appears much thicker now. I can still put my hair up in my beloved African Butterfly combs. Before I know it, those 7 centimeters will be back and I have a lot healthier hair.
