My hair is bit poofy:D and i thought of ways to measure the actual bulk of my hair.I guess this would help.
1.Pony tail circumference - 4.1 inches
2.Mid length circumference(half the length of the pony tail) - 3 inches
3.2 inches above the hemline - 1 inch(I am upset about this!)
So,what are your measurements?:)

I can't find my measuring tape anywhere !! Grrrrr. My hair is very bulky so I keep it layered, my hemline will be much thinner because of this. However, my longest layer is still quite thick, so maybe I would be surprised..... Where did I put that thing !!

1. pony tail circumference: 4.4 inches
2. mid-length circumference: 3 inches (it's OK, I'm growing out bangs which are at APL)
3. 2 inches above the hemline: 1.5 inch (poor)
My measurements are similar to yours! :)

Nice to find a "co-bulker" here!:D
My ponytail circumference was 4.2 inches in March,I dint have a shed beyond 10 per day,but still the loss of .1 inches is 100% definite:rolleyes:
Also,I had trimmed my hem in April and the thickness then was 2 inches.I think that is uneven growth.Few hairs not getting my biotin?

My hair used to be bulky too, but now i don't think my measurements are correct because my hair's heavily thinned and overall too short (APL). My ponytail circumference is 3,5 inches (which is also thin for my hair, dunno why :( )

Mine is not at all bulky,it shows some weird growth which makes it 4.1 inches at the top. When wet,my hair is an inverted rocket!Your hair is so lustrous and thick that I'm green!:D

Thank you, but the thickness i have now is just illusion, because it's coarse. I actually don't have that much hair on my head right now, the way i used to have :(

My hair is very bulky, I can't do a pony because I don't have any scrunchies at the moment, so I'm afraid that I can't give you any measurements.
I'm hoping that as it grows past the awful APL stage that it will de-bulk a bit!

1. Ponytail circumference - 3 inches (7,5 cm)
2. Mid length circumference (half the length of the ponytail) - 2,2 inches (5,5 cm)
3. 2 inches above the hemline - 1,6 inches (4 cm)
I'm happy with what I have. Tapering isn't too noticeable. More than 3" ponytail circumference would be lovely, but this isn't too bad either. I don't think it's thin but normal.

1. Ponytail circumference - 3.25"
2. Mid length circumference (half the length of the ponytail) - 2.25"
3. 2 inches above the hemline - 1.25"
My ponytail circumference was 3.5" in January, I guess I did some shedding at some point.
ETA: Just measured twice to be sure, and yep... it goes down exactly 1" per measurement. I think I need to be a little more gentle with my hair.

My hair is very smooth and compact. My buns are quite modest, and even if I were able to maximize my hair thickness and grew it down to my knees, my buns would never be huge.
Ponytail = 2.75"
Half length = 2.25'
2" above hemline = 1.25"
My thickness has improved over the past year. I've gained about .5" ponytail circumference and gone from a few hundred hairs at the ends to a pinkie fingers width. I've trimmed a bunch to get there, but there's definitely a lot more happy hair than there used to be. :)

Mine at the top of the ponytail - 6.5cm (2.55'')
At the middle of the ponytail - 4 cm (1.57'')
And 2'' from the bottom of ponytail - 2cm (0.78'')
It's near the bottom of ii thickness, and I have a huge ammount of taper because of breakage - I used to wear my hair down all the time till last August :(
I can see an improvement since I started wearing it up, but it's a slow process...

I am new here and to be honest, I have no idea what I am doing ! I don't know what should or shouldn't be in my profile, I have no idea how to add a pic of my hair at the bottom of my post like I see everyone else doing, I am trying though :)

I found my measuring tape, and I had my hair deep conditioned at the salon today, so I had it measured there too just to double check I did it right.
Ponytail = 5.6 inches
Mid-length = 4.1 inches
2" from hemline = 2.4 inches
I expected that though, my hair is super thick so I keep it layered, which makes for less thickness on the lengths. I can't imagine if I had my hair all one length, I don't think it would look very good and I think it might be too heavy.

I think this probably varies a lot depending on where in your hair you make the measurement. Here's mine, with approximate areas of length. I don't think there's anything I could really do to try bulking up things. If my hair wasn't in a U cut the ends might be slightly thicker... doesn't hair just naturally thin out on everyone though?
nape 3.12
about arm pit length 1.75
couple inches from ends (near waist length 1.24

My hair is quite thick, but its also very straight. Because of my hair's straight texture, the true bulk of my hair is often not seen and it often doesn't show up very well at all in pictures, my roots will be very flat and smooth but if you could just feel how much hair is on my head, you would be able to see that I have A LOT of freaking hair.
Ok so my ponytail measurements are :
4.4 inches at the base of my neck
3.7 inches at midlength
2.5 inches at about 2 inches from the ends of my hair

--ponytail: 12cm/4.75 inch circumference - it varies throughout the year though. generally it gets thicker in the spring and summer, and thinner in the fall.
--midlength: 11cm/4.25 inch
--2inch from ends: 9cm/3.5 inch

Nape: 5.25"
Midlength: 4.25"
2" from ends: 3.25"
That's with some remaining thinning and layers at the ends. Looking at these measurements, I think I will keep some layers once the razored damage is trimmed away. It really helps with my bulky hair.

Nape: 5"
Midlength: 4"
2" from ends: 2.5"
Not bad for being layered! I was expecting more tapering, honestly.

nape 3.5 inches
mid length 3 in
2 in from ends 2.25
I recently cut off about 5 inches, so I have a pretty blunt bsl hemline.

Ponytail circumference is 3.5 inches! No point in measuring any further down yet, that would just make me sad. People are always telling me how thick my hair is, but I believe it's because of the wave pattern more than the actual thickness! Though I definitely have more than most girls my age because I actually try to treat it well.
