Classic(ish)! (pic heavy)

Okay, not quite. Just when my hair is wet/straight. But that's okay, I can still be excited - right?
Okay, here's when wet and brushed:

The ends look so thin! If my hair looked like that all the time, I think I would cut back to tailbone. I'm trying to decide whether I should trim anyway. (I haven't trimmed since I joined LHC.) For the middle photo, I measured my way, and you can kind of see that the end just about pulls to 39" ish. And the last one is scrunched to look slightly more normal.

Here it is brushed dry. Floof! But it's surprisingly close to its length when wet. =)

And dry normally. Not much different than the last time I took a picture, but oh well. :)

Nice; pretty curls! With your curled texture, I wouldn't worry about trimming unless the ends get dry, split, and grabby.

It seems that most people with very wavy or curly hair around here measure their length as the length it is while straightened? Not sure if that is standard or just a 'trend', but if you go by that you're definitely at classic! If not, you have a little ways to go, but not very long at all.

It's amazing the differences in your hair from wet to brushed to airdried. Very cool hair.

Your curls are so gorgeous! :crush: I would not trim unless I couldn't stand it anymore, because from what I hear, it is hard to trim curly hair and be satisfied with the ends both brushed and curly. And in the photos where your hair is springy and curly, your ends do not look thin at all. And if that is how your hair looks in its everyday environment, then that is just simply awesome. :flower:

I was feeling a little discouraged about the ends, but I'll trust you guys. :D

A couple people asked some questions: Ever since a young age, I have worn my hair with a centre part (though for a while, until four years ago, I had bangs) and in a ponytail, every day, in the same place. This year I do braids every now and then, but still a ponytail every day. I wash four times a week (after gymnastics work-out). I recently switched to cone and sulfate free, which seems to be working okay.
Those curls are air-dried naturally, but unfortunately it doesn't always dry so nice looking. :)

Your curls are beautiful !!!!! Great pics too. Just my personal opinion, but I would trim so it is more even. But that's just me, uneven ends drive me nuts....... Whether you decide to trim or not - your hair is long and lovely !!

I'd definitely call that classic. I always use the wet-hair-pulled-straight measurement for determining when I've hit a goal: if it pulls straight to classic length, then I call it classic, even it dries much shorter. Otherwise I find I have no basis for comparison, because the amount of curl varies from day to day, and I would never the same measurement. I used to get a bit irked at how much the curl shortened my hair: I have about a 6-inch difference between wet hair and dry hair.

Congratulations on classic! I agree with Starfilly, if it dries at different lengths you have to have some sort of consistency for measuring, and pulled straight would be the best way.

If I were you, I wouldn't trim. When your hair is not brushed, the ends don't look thin and are really shiny!
And I wouldn't brush anyway. I see there's much more volume but the curls are... fabulous! :)
