Now that it's officially shorts weather, I've started thinking ahead to summer. My hair loves moisture and more moisture, and so far has been liking every humectant I've thrown at it. But I've been seeing lots of mention of humectants being counter-productive in very dry weather, so I'm wondering: Does anyone have any idea at what point that happens? I swear this is the first time in my life I've given a moment's thought to the dewpoint!

I would love to know about this as well! I moved to a dry, elevated climate from my lifelong humid home and it's killing my hair. I use honey/molasses but didn't realize they don't work in extreme arid climates?!
