Thanks everyone! :)
I tipped my head upside down so that all the hair would stay in one direction while I was twisting the sock upwards - I think perhaps that helped to keep it neat. They have a Victorian feel to them which is fun!

Gorgeous! I've never tried this type of bun before; I think I'll do a forum search.

By the way, do you henna, or is that your natural color? I've been dying to henna for months now, but I can't seem to work up the nerve.

No I don't henna, the reddish parts are all natural, and become more enhanced if I'm out in the sun a lot.

I think the results of henna are fabulous, you should go for it! Though it is a rather permanent thing from what I understand - guess you'd need to be 100% sure you want it :)

Wow! You are so lucky! I've never seen anyone with hair naturally that color. I have some red tones in my dark hair, but they're pretty muted.

Yes, the permanence of henna is an issue, and the reason I keep chickening out. Maybe I'll try cassia to see how I deal with keeping up such a messy process.

Relatively new here.... what is a sock bun? I mean I can see what it is... but that doesn't help this newbie much...

Great job. And your photo portrait is awesome.

You've got a lot of hair me thinks! :)

It kind of has a Japanese feel to me. Cool!

Cassia is supposedly amazing, I haven't personally tried it but I've heard excellent things. My mother has some and her hair always looks fabulous - maybe I'll nick some of hers and try a bit :D
