I'm beginning to have first doubts about growing my hair to waist length.
first, the sores I used to have as a child on my scalp have reappeared with a vengeance and they're also attacking the sides of my face and forehead. I have bangs and they appeared around my hairline and under my bangs first, so I assume it's a hair thing. right now I'm shampooing very infrequently with nature's gate henna and conditioning with mane&tail, nature's gate, or a random aussie conditioner. I switch between them a lot because of the textures they bring out in my hair. aussie is coney, so it makes my waves into more of a body wave with a lot of straightness. nature's gate and m&t both make my hair pretty curly. it just depends on which I'd rather smell all day. I'd say I wash twice a week and try to wash my bangs every other day.
secondly, I have a new boyfriend and I'm not sure how I feel about that. I know I know, I should be 100% certain before agreeing to any kind of relationship, but he really wasn't as wiggy as he has been since we've been officially dating. anyway, the other day he asked me if I'd ever had long hair because that's something he likes on women and I explained that I'm growing my hair out from the super short hair I used to have when I met him and that it has been nearly at my waist in the past. he got really excited about the idea of my hair hitting my waist, which is how I feel, but I want to make it clear that my hair is for me, not for anyone else, and to me, that makes me feel like cutting it all off just to show how independent I am from this new person. I guess I have some serious issues to get over there, but the scalp thing doesn't help. :/
