Haha I know how you feel. I may not have the thickest hair, but the length is slowly fattening up my buns. Yours looks great! That rockin' stick just adds more to the "This is my bun. It is big. If you get too close it will consume you!" look. :D

I'm laughing because that's how I felt when I looked in the mirror-to-mirror at my bun for the first time the other day! I could've sworn it used to be tiny then all the sudden it looked . . . rather massive. . . . And I didn't gain much length at all.

Wow, that bun is just awesome! It's really making me hope that I can reach my goal of tailbone, which would be 36 inches. I see that our hair types are not all that dissimilar.

You've given me great inspiration with your beautiful big bun! :blossom:

Nice thread title! :D

What an awesome bun, it is impossible to argue with it's tremendous size.

My hair is actually quite thin...my pony circumference is an inch and a half or so, but I'm finally getting enough length that its making my buns respectably sized. :D *toothygrin*

Yay! That's awesome. :) I made some updo the other day that made my "bun" look 2 or 3 times bigger. Made me very happy as I'm still at APL.

I can't wait to see what I can create when I reach my goal of knee.

Second the awesomeness of a braided bun, btw. Did you use anything to secure it first? I can't get it to stay. . . .

Nice! That stick reminds me of Pebbles (http://www.google.com/images?hl=en&q=pebbles%20flintstones&um=1&ie=UTF-8&source=og&sa=N&tab=wi) from the Flintstones. If you had the same carving on both ends, it would be perfect.

Qamar, I love it! The stick's a Grah-Toe Studio, right? It looks great in your big bun!

:D

I have really "big" hair (a 3b/3c curl, almost waist-length) and we refer to any hair gadgets as "retention systems" in my house, as if they involved industrial-sized pulleys and gears. Back in the banana-clip days, the talk was about how many people I could "take out" on either side of me if I experienced Retention System Failure!

Your bun looks great. I do love big buns, too. There are so many ways to make buns at your length. Envy! My bun is smaller, but getting slowly bigger, too. Cheers to big buns:toast: Totally unrelated, but it's my 1,000th post.:cheese:

Buns rise slowly but they rise well. :)

Nope. The only thing holding the bun is the stick. Its a Grah-Toe mermaid tail, but I think of it as a whale tail. Its an impressive stick and holds quite well.

I have one of those, too, and my husband calls it a whale's tale!

Love the thread title, love your bun, and love your hair stick.

Alas, my hair is not really very thick and I don't think my bun will ever achieve a state of impressive massiveness. All I can do is admire others.
