Hi all,
I don't know if this has been posted before (maybe the person who did it was a LHC member?) but I thought it looked really cool and wanted to share!

Hope someone finds this interesting and helpful!

Love it! Can't wait to try it on my DD's hair! Mine is too short and thin!

I've done that one a few times. It actually comes out looking quite elegant if you don't pull the sections quite as tight as she does in the video.

Yes, I've seen it before!
It looks nice, doesn't it? And it looks more complicated than it is!
It would be interesting to see what it looked like if it was made into an updo.

I know, mines too short to do it yet either! I think I can only get two bumps when I braid my hair now, so it would probably just look like I messed up the braid! :o

I've seen that before, it looks cool. I haven't tried it, I think it's maybe a bit demaging.

I seen that on youtube and really wanted to try it, to bad me hair isn't even long enought to make one bumped braid. Rats!

thanks for sharring! I think it looks cool and it would look even more cool in a bun. I just think it looks a bit damaging.

Deceptive simplicity, my favorite! And it looks great. I'm trying it soon.

I can't figure this out. Any hints? I can't get it to look all zig-zaggy.

It's just basically a 3-strand English braid, but with two small strands and one big strand. This, by it's own, should already give you a zig-zag pattern. But to exaggerate the pattern you can pull the smaller strands tighter and the big strand more loosely. HTH!

After my hair dries I will try this.

OK, so I looked at this and decided to give it a try...
Two Nifty braids, and bunned into a sort of two-stranded cinnabun:

I didn't pull the two smaller strands as tight as the girl in the video because a) I felt it was a bit damaging to pull so much as my hair, and b) it makes the braid more 'fluffy' (full of fly-aways), at least with my curly hair.
Still, I like it and I think I'll be doing it often, specially for updoes!

Maybe I could try doing a lace braid with that... since i always section my hair unevenly! Hm.. should try that. It looks good just as a braid too, kind of funky and different.

I cannot get this to look right to save my life. I think my hair is just too frizzy.
