Hey everyone! :flower: Last year I promised to not trim my hair until my birthday, it has since passed and now I'm wavering between self-trimming or allowing another to cut it. My hair needs to be trimmed only half an inch and I feel apprehensive approaching a hairdresser/barber or a family member for apparent reasons.

The tutorials I've seen for self-trims have been for people with hair much longer than mine, so I'm wondering whether it's possible to precisely self-trim APL length hair. Any suggestions?

Feye's method works great :) http://community.livejournal.com/feyeselftrim

It's tricky on short hair, but it gets easier as your hair gets longer :)

I did a self-trim using Feye's method, on my APL length hair a couple of months ago, and had no trouble. I agree that it's easier as one's hair gets longer (I know from past experience), but you can do it.

Yes, absolutely. I've used Feye's method for my hair at all lengths, including APL. It's definitely doable.

Thank you for the replies! :) I'll definitely try Feye's method.
