Hi everyone. Completely virgin hair here (I've never cut it)

Hi guys, I'm neww. I'm 17 (18 in Aug) and I've never cut my hair due to being raised in the Sikh religion, where hair is supposed to be kept uncut and untrimmed. So my hair is super longgg. I love my hair but at times I have resented not being able to do anything but a braid or simple bun (I thought I could never leave it down except for family functions). I also felt weird being the odd one out during my younger teen years.. But recently I've started to really embrace it. I want to get the confidence to wear it down, because I love the feeling of that.

I hope this community can give me styling tips and care tips as well.

Here's a pic of my hair. I'm kind of hunched forward so you can't see the top part.

Aditi, this is one of the ceremonies before my cousin's wedding. I'm not sure of the actual name for it, but it's where they rub the yellow haldi paste all over him as a "cleansing". ^_^
