On the today show this morning: How your hair color affects your health.

I already new about redheads needing more pain killers. Parkinsons for redheads? I never knew (and wonder about the accuracy)

Novacaine never worked too well for me. My hair is mixed (every color) but it's pretty red in the sun and it bleaches to red instead of blonde. I have some pictures of this in my album. This could just be coincidence. I didn't know that redheads get more action though. A lot of LHCers henna their hair. Nice. Not cool about the Parkinson's though. I've heard about this hair loss in brunettes thing. One theory is that the chemicals in brunette hair dye are actually worse (cause more hair loss) than the bleach that blondes use, causing more hair loss in the long term. Supposedly, the bleach damages the hair more than the follicles and the amonia and whatever else is in there causes more damage to the follicles themselves.

Brunettes are coarse, thin-hairs. Blones are fine-haired.

Where is this nonsense coming from?

I think it's coming from old wives tales that were brought into scientific experiments that were designed to prove those tales as "fact" and only that.

It's all quite bizarre.
