So after more research in henna, I've come across some info that cinnamon sold in North America is actually cassia. oO;; I tend to use cinnamon and clove in my henna mix to kill the henna smell... and I know cassia tends to add a more golden color, right? Is cinnamon and the cassia you buy from Mehandi or Henna Sooq the same? Am I killing some of the red this way?

Cassia cinnamon is not cassia senna. 2 different species.
Cassia senna is also called cassia obovata and cassia acutifolia, and S. alexandria, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cassia_senna.
Cassia cinnamon is also just called cinnamon, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cinnamomum_aromaticum.
And no question to me, is stupid. I can see why this would be confusing though, especially when plants are referred to by their common and local names.

I agree with Ktani..no question is stupid! I can see where you thought they were the same thing! It got me puzzled for a little while, too! ^_^
