I haven't posted in quiet a while. Since the last time I posted, my hair has grown down to my waist. I get a lot of great comments on how good it looks. I decided to cut bangs about 6 months ago. I cut them too short, but they are now grown out and don't look so bad.
I started using Suave shampoo and Pantene Condistioner and it is really making my hair look beautiful. I don't have as many fly-aways now and I'm loving it. I started trimming it myself because when I had the lady at the salon do it, she took off 4 inches, rather then the 1 that I asked for.
I do have a question....
What do you do with your long hair at night? I have mine in a 50's style ponytail at night and tuck it under the top edge of my pillow. I use a satin pillowcase, so my hair always comes back down behind my back while I sleep and I have to wake up when I turn over, so I can move it back out of the way. What do you do with your's???

Hello! Your hair looks lovely!

I plait mine at night, but a lot of people here wear sleep caps or snoods or some kind of covering. Others sleep with it loose, and don't have a problem with tangles. It just depends on what you want to do.

There have been numerous threads about this topic. It comes up all the time. Here is one (http://forums.longhaircommunity.com/showthread.php?p=1048874), for example. Here (http://www.longhaircommunity.com/forums/showthread.php?t=20220&page=4) is another one. Hope this helps. :)

P.S. I just wanted to ask, out of curiosity: how does a 50s-style ponytail differ from a normal ponytail? What is it?

A 50's style ponytail is higher up on your head, rather then a regular ponytail, which is closer to the neck. Thank you so much for the thread! I'll go read it now!

I wear a silk pretty wrap -

I like it because I don't get any lint in my hair which for me is a huge source of tangles. I also like that it stays put and doesn't put any uncomfortable pressure on my head. It is very comfortable and then I can use whatever pillowcase I like.
