I have started my hair journal and also one for all the information Iv learnt, such as hair typing, the different lengths and so on. It also made me think that one day maybe one of the youngsters of the family may inherit it. So my question is, what would you add?

Thanks for your thoughts.

PS: Iv started a hairstyle (for updos, braids etc) index with this in mind. If you feel a hairstyle should go in it, please let me know, I do note the source/inventor as well.

This is an interesting question. I'd tell my descendants to have patience with their hair, not to believe everything they hear about genetics, eat well, and explore, explore, explore, because there's always some new hair care product, system, treatment, etc. coming on the market. And the newest invention might just be the one that will help them to realize their hair goals.

I'd also encourage them to be themselves and do what makes them happy whether they choose long hair ( like me ) or short. And, last but not least, I'd emphasize the importance of hair and scalp health. Especially the latter. :)

wow, what a good idea to start a hair journel to pass onto offspring....

HMMM... i think if i had offspring (if they were girls) i would grow their hair long from a young age... always try and discourage them from cutting it lol this way they would be used to long hair by the time they are old enough

things i would add in my journel is; buying the appropriate brush/ comb/
regular s & d
choose an oil which suits their type of hair
different hairstyles they can do with longer hair
advice on henna
massaging scalp
choosing good shampoo and/ or conditioner

this type of info i would pass onto my offspring to ensure my healthy genes live on! god willing, ha!
