The start of my journey. First application of henna over badly peroxide-damaged hair. August 2007:

BIG improvement. Continuing with henna. June 2008:

One-off application of straightening irons to check out length. Nearly there! August 2009:

Finally made it! Still hennaing. Air-dried hair. March 2010:

Hope the pics have loaded ok folks, if not you can see them in my album, but unfortunately they are not in correct order there.

Very pretty and you're longer than BSL. Nearing waist in the last pix?

Thank you. Yes, somewhere in between BSL and waist length.

Thank you leela. The colour varies so much depending on the light I am in.

Beautiful hair, Top Cat! Isn't it amazing how healing/transforming henna is? The condition of your hair is noticeably smoother with each of your photos. Love the color, too. :)

Yes, henna works wonders! I used to need to apply lots n lots of conditioner before I could get a brush through my hair after washing. Now I can brush it through without any conditioner.
I can't sing it's praises highly enough :D

Thanks for the lovely comments and the encouragement!
Now aiming for waist length but I don't know if I will ever be able to reach it as I don't think my terminal length is very long.
I have had no trims since joining LHC and it has not stopped me achieving fairly even length overall.

Pretty hair. Do you always do the dark liner on your eyes? I'd love to see a softer look on them.

Yes, I always wear dark liner. On the rare occasion when I have not (for instance when I'm sick) my friends have been shocked to the point of hardly recognising me lol
I'm naturally blonde and my features are very pale/washed out without make-up (Sissy Spacekesque). A softer look I could try, but it wouldn't feel like me.

The dark liner looks pretty good; don't get me wrong. Not like me; I have small eyes, and dark liner makes them disappear. I was struck by the fact that I saw LINER and not the color of your eyes, which is what I usually notice first.
