Hair loss after knee surgery

My knee surgery was almost a month ago .... and my hair is so dry and fuzzy, (I'm a curly) and my hair seems to be falling out in clumps.

I know that general anestesia (sp?) will make your hair change, but how long does it usually last?

Any tips for my poor hair?
