Progress of one year!

I just noticed that my first hair-picture is from April '07, so I decided to show you the growth of one year!

Also, the left picture is not a good shot, but my straight-from-behind-shots start at october or november of '07 (I just didn't want to wait so long)...

I think the difference in shine is caused by using two different cameras... also, the pic from april 07 was taken without flash, the one from this year is with...

Edit: Hairbear, yes, I use henna. Mostly I just mix some Henna (bought at the pharmacy, so no brand) with black tea and apply it. Once, I used red wine, that gives a darker red tone, but for we don't have a lot of unconsumable red wine, I didn't repeat it.
For preventing the orange-ish shimmer, I use black tea (really strong), which I pour through my hair and let it sit for a while... pretty drying, though. I hope this answered your question?!

It's looking beautiful! I didn't realize from the second picture that you henna-- it really doesn't have that orange-y, shimmery glow that is common. It looks really nice, a subtle reddish cast! Great growth, too!

Yes, I do use henna... to prevent my hair from getting orange (or to save them if they are...) I use pretty strong black tea, that's why the henna colour isn't that pronounced...

I'm still trying to work one out...
at the moment:
- Washing every 3-4 days
- Combing with a seamless plastic comb (it's a special comb, so it doesn't make my hair fly) with about 1cm in between the teeth
- Wearing hair up daily
- Using conditioner after shampooing
- Sometimes I put a bit of jojoba oil in the ends, but mostly I am too lazy for it... Also, sometimes I massage shea butter in the braid
- Quite hard water here, I only clarify once in a while with ketoconazol-shampoo for dandruff
- Aaaand... a satin pillowcase :cheese:
