I have been reading the post on the product that makes peoples hair grow like mad... something "Earth". I don't want to buy a bunch of the stuff and was wondering if there is somewhere I can buy it as suppliments or if someone would be willing to send me a sample?

Diatomaceous Earth is what you are looking for. Some use a liquid Silica supplement instead, but most of us swear by the DE, for a variety of reasons.

I am currently waiting on my re-order to come in, as I am out. I use it, my horses, dogs and cats use it...........I use it for natural pest control inside and out.................you can use it in your garden, as well.

Some are mixing it into their cleanser for an exfoliating scrub and loving it.

If you buy some and don't like it, there is always the garden!!

Does anyone experience negative side effects from this? I am always hesitant to try new things, as I am afraid I will have some kind of negative reaction to it.. I have been wondering about DE for a while now as well. Wondering about the positive and the negative...

I take silica supplements from the health food store. I use Florasil capsules

and have noticed a big difference in my skin as well. It helped me go from this....

It's a fine, highly frictious, white or off-white powder. (I don't know where mine is to look at the color.) If you rub it between your fingers, it feels like it's embedding microscopically in the epidermis. It can be used as an insecticide, in which case I call it "fell white smeddum" in allusion to the fell red smeddum Robbie Burns wanted to put on the louse.
