After advice I could do with neatening up my fairytale ends I decided to take the plunge and have a trim. I've been meaning to do this since last summer. I've not had a trim since May 2008.
Well this evening I did it! I used Feye's self trimming method to create a U shape. I was initially just going to do a microtrim, but then I thought "sod it" and cut off 2 inches from the longest bits.
It's a very deep U from the layers that need growing out, but it looks so much better. Plus I thought I'd be back at hip length, but to my surprise I'm only just above tailbone despite taking off so much. I can still tuck it into the back of my jeans. :D
I'd take a picture, but I'm not all that great at length shots and the lighting is terrible. Plus my hair doesn't show up much against my jeans. So glad I've done it now.
