Just fooling around as I had the afternoon off and thought I would get in some practise with hairdos.
Please excuse the face in bottom one, I don't know how to black it out.
I generally don't really care for my hair in a bun as I don't have layers or bangs and feel this look is very plain. But it is comfortable.

So what if it's a so-called "ordinary" bun -- it still looks great, Beaglebuddy!

The lift or height at the crown area looks really nice too.

Also, horray at having a little free time for yourself this afternoon :)

Thank you Tryst.
One thing my hair has is plenty of volume, too much!
Yes it is great to have the afternoon off!:cheese:

ohhh, you lucky ducky. Mine has no volume at all and I end up with that chic "Drowned Rat" look.

Enjoy the rest of your afternoon! :)

Sometimes I think the simplest styles are the best of all! It looks very elegant, too. Nice job!

I love your bun! It looks very simple and classy. And it does look very comfortable. I can't wait until I can wear buns. Good job!

Thank you Firefly! That is true that simplicity is best. But at my length it is also a matter of no choice. I cannot do the more intricate buns that other members have done. But for now at least I have something I can wear besides a french braid.

I agree - the lift in the top layer gives it nice volume! Lovely! :)
