New Hairs or Broken Hairs

How can you tell visually the difference between new hair growth and breakage?

I have a lot of these hairs that sort of taper at the ends. No sign of a split or irregular end other than the very noticable taper.

I wouldn't worry so much if there wasn't so many of them. Obviously, I'm hoping it's growth.

Breakage would have a white dot, split, blunt end, [sic], etc. If there is a noticeable taper, I would wager it's new growth! Happy growing! XD :blossom:

Yes, I've also read that a tapered end means new growth.
