New as a member here - but I've been reading for months.
I stopped using shampoo, cones etc last fall, and I can't believe how much better my hair behaves now!

Welcome to the LHC! :flower:
I spent a lot of time in the shadows, myself. I think I read the forums for 6 months before I joined.

OK... About myself... I'm in my thirties, mother of three, like gardening bt have too little time for this due to full time work + a side career as a politician.
My hair has almost always been in a braid - due to frissiness and generally bad behaviour. Last year I stumbled upon the CO method, and now my hair is behaving!?! I like it so much that I have been wearing my hair down for monts now - and I put it up in a bun just because I want to - not because I have to. My itchy scalp has calmed down too :)
I wash about once a week. Conditioner, massage, rinse and then a richer condotioner on the lengts. A little bit of gel in dripping wet hair and then I dry it with a couple of cloth diapers - careful not to mess up the hair. Between washes I mist it with mostly water, oil the ends and smooth the surface with conditioner mixed with oil, glycerin or aloe gel when needed.
I wonder why I have spent sp many years and so much money on expensive schampoos, conditioners, deep treatments, shine sprays, serums and so on when the solution was this simple!

Welcome to the boards NenNa,
I also like gardening. Too bad you haven't much time for it. You could grow some awesome herbs for hair there.:D Maybe we'll exchange fresh garden produce recipes. Or are flowers more your area of interest?
Look forward to seeing you on the forum boards. There's always an interesting topic of conversation being batted about.

jera: I've been growing herbs for eating, teas and for their scent for decades. I hadn't thought about growing some for my hair too. Great idea! Thanks!

Nice to hear you've been growing and using them for so many years. We'll have to swap recipes sometime. :D
