I am 5 foot 2 inches, average waisted and I guess average neck length though I have never looked at that. My hair is just below classic in the realm of upper thigh.

I believe torso length is a factor in this as well: Short, average, or long waisted. I also remember a discussion about neck length in a short haired conversation. These are just as relevant as height in my opinion.

ETA: The stylist who trims my hair has very long hair herself. I always thought it was longer than mine, but then she showed me it isn't (put a lock of mine against her head.) She's just short--5'4" or so--so her hair looks much longer on her.

And may I repeat how happy I am to have found a long haired stylist to trim my hair! No arguments, no stupid suggestions!
