from a bob to BSL! My hair growth in pics...

Ok, so this is a pic of just before the Pob hair cut, as you can see my hair is really thin and pulled back off my face. I couldn't wear it down as it has just so awful and I decided enough was enough and it was time for a new start!

Then I went for the Pob a la Victoria Beckham- it got rid of the worst of my damage and I was starting afresh!

Then I started growing, you can see in this picture that my hair quality still isn't great.

Just hitting shoulder length now-

This is when I met my husband! As you can see I've got some shape back into my face here, but my hair was still pretty thin as I wasn't back to my "regular" weight yet.

Now it really started to get going! We'd got engaged, and I was determined to have long hair on my wedding day for the huge beehive I was planning.

And then here I am in a cool moody arty shot, with BSL hair!

I have read the threads on here and have now given up the evils that are hair straighteners, and switching to condition-shampoo-condition. I have seen the light!

It's taken me from January 2008-today (Feb 2010) my hair grows pretty fast and I've had a lot of hair cuts in between, now I'm being really serious about it and have gone down to micro trims and have stopped having the layers cut in. My hairdresser is amazing and talked me out of having it all cut it off and does amazing micro trims. My fringe grows really really fast so am always going back to get that trimmed as I hate it in my eyes!

I love it here, all of your beautiful long hair is so motivational!

It looks awesome!! I really like your bangs.....they make your hair look so stylish. I am thinking that maybe I need to get me some bangs. Do you have layers also? Do you take a picture of the hair you want to your hairdresser? Or is there a certain style you ask for?
My hair is pretty much all one length (with a few shorter parts in the front from when I grew out my bangs) and I am starting to feel a bit dumpy. I know this is just my feeling on things, because I see everyone else's one length hair and it looks great!!

You're lucky! My 'used-to-be fringe' (it's now almost at chin length), grows really slow in my opinion. :(

By the way, your hair looks really nice at BSL! I'm heading for BSL right now as a mini goal.

My hairdresser is my fairy god mother- I just go and tell her to leave the length S&D and get my fringe out of my eyes!!

I still have some layers, but last hair cut we agreed that we're going to grow them out. I liked the way at APL to BSL that they looked when I curled them, but now I'm going for that long drop and curl at the end! Plus, I think it will look thicker all one length.

I think it's really telling that as my hair gets better, my face gets rounder and more healthy looking! Food is so closely linked to hair quality and I can't believe I ever put my body through that!

I've been raving about this site to anyone that listens, and trying and trying to master a plait to put my hair in at night, I think I might book a hairdressers appointment just to get someone to teach me how to do it!!

And for the person who said about being shoulder length- my hair would have grown SO MUCH quicker if I hadn't kept cutting it! Stick to micro trims and you'll be BSL before you know it!!
