heya guys!
I REALLY like big buns.. haha.. but my hair isn't that long (midback 72cm)..
I know the sock bun and the nautilus bun as really big buns that give the illusion of having a lot of hair..
You know others?

Can you still do a French Twist? That might work, since your hair is pretty long for it, it could look larger?

Also, braided buns nearly always make your hair look thicker and chunkier than it actually is, which might make it look longer.

Sock bun! You could even use more than one sock. ;-)

Have you tried Loepsie's inverse sock bun? Those buns come out HUGE! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I13J7ArHTkM

You can put a couple of fingers against your scalp high at the back of your head and wind your hair around and around them, then use a claw clip to secure the bottom of the loops. The top will then collapse over the claw clip, and the resultant bun looks big. Your hair may already be too long and heavy for this, but give it a try.

^ That's a pretty good idea. IMO I think the "cone" shaped (tower twist) french twist can be very elegant to show off hair length. Even though some women do not like the way they look, they refer to is as an alien head :D, I think they look pretty cool and sophisticated.

Hypnotica's last bun (Aramitis bun or something like that) suppose to come out big.

You could do a curly messy bun.Do a cinnamon bun and pull out random pieces into loops as you go around. Then let the ends stay out. Curled ends would look nicer.

You could try my CLIP BUN (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cY-rfngTdkA). The second style in the demo creates a bigger bun.

Or...Weave a scarf into a braided bun to make more volume.

I find that if I make a ponytail first using 2 ouchless bands, it makes the bun slightly bigger.

Using small clips all the way around a cinnamon bun and covering them up with hair as you go around creates a bigger bun.

OHhh! I like that clip bun! I'm going to have to put that one on my list for when I have more length to play with.

I have to admit, the first time I read this thread title, I thought of this (http://img.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2007/10_01/leiahair0410_468x638.jpg).:rolling:

I love Leah buns! I think they'd also look nice stacked on top of each other in the back versus one on each side.
